Lovely shop and brilliant staff! Got two budgies the other day and they're doing well. They went through all the care stuff with me and ensured I knew my stuff prior. They gave great advice and were very friendly. The shop itself is also lovely. There's a massive selection of stuff for birds which is nice to see! The staff are passionate about animals and know a lot of stuff. I have no complaints.nnBudgies have been with me for 2 days now and are settling in well. I took some advice on some cage layout things and the budgies love their new rope climbing ramp!nnI have two very happy budgies here who are best friends, and now also have a shop I can go to for all my bird needs and also any questions I may have. Very happy with the quality of the shop, animals and shops stock for bird products. The wealth of Information the staff have on the animals is also great. Highly recommend.nnThanks to the staff for assisting me in finding my forever friends and ensuring I had everything I need to give them a good home! Birds are happy so I am happy!nnEdit: apparently this didn't publish when I tried to originally. It's now been almost 2 months with my two boys. They're happy, healthy and still the bestest of friends! Been back since to grab more bird toys for them. Still think highly of this pet store. Will be back again when I need more stuff or advice. I highly recommend them.nnEdit: 2 and a half months since I got my birds. They're still happy, healthy and getting along well. They now come out all the time, bonding is going well, and recall training when outside of the cage is going brilliantly. Rex actually has made it a little game to fly to my hands whenever I raise one lol. But, I'm beyond thankful for my two boys and they're wonderful birds. Still no issues a few months after getting them and they're still thriving and coming on leaps and bounds with training, taming and bonding.
What an absolute gem of a pet shop that is extremely clean and well stocked. The animals are clearly well cared for and the staff are absolutely amazing and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they are happy to give you all the advice you need to keep your new animals friends happy and healthy. I bought two wonderful baby guinea pigs from this shop and they are settling in their new house perfectly. I avoid high street pet shops like the plague after numerous bad experiences in the past and shops like this are the best place to buy happy and healthy animals. I highly recommend adlington pet shop and I would happy return for any future needs. Well done adlington pet centre you are fantastic and I wish you all the best.
After sadly losing my pet budgie, who had been my chirpy companion for ten and a half years, the house seemed very quiet without his constant talking and chattering. I therefore decided I needed to get a new feathered friend. This proved to be not as easy as it sounds.nnI visited a couple of pet stores, but I wasn’t terribly impressed by the birds they had, nor their living conditions, so I decided to join a budgie group on social media, and it was here where I first heard about Adlington Pet Centre. As it was a Sunday, they were closed, so I sent them a message via the contact form and was pleasantly surprised to receive a message back from Joanne on the Sunday evening. Later in the week we spoke on the phone, and she let me know that a fresh intake of baby budgies was expected soon. The pet shop is a 40-mile round trip from my home, but I decided to pay them a visit, and I am so glad I did.nnFinding the shop was easy, and it was also easy to park which is always a bonus!. When I arrived, Joanne was on lunch, so I had a look around, and I was amazed at the vast number of products for sale. It was like an Aladdin’s cave for pets! There was something for every pet you could think of. I was then greeted by Chris, who was an absolute mine of information. He took me to the bird room to view the budgies, and they all looked healthy and well cared for, as well as being beautiful. There was a great selection, but better still, the new arrivals came while I was there, so I had even more to choose from. I am not the best at decision making, but Chris was patience itself, and I felt under no pressure whatsoever, so I was able to take my time, and make sure I made the correct choice. Joanne even came in and offered me a brew she was probably thinking they would have to offer me a bed for the night as I was there so long!.nnAlthough I have kept single budgies for many years, I was given excellent advice and came home with my new budgie and lots of goodies for him. I was pondering on getting two, but I was advised to wait until the first one had time to settle and get to know me, which proves they put the pet’s welfare first and foremost.nnI really cannot fault the care, attention and helpful advice I received from Adlington Pet Centre, and all the other staff were just as friendly and helpful. It really is an amazing place. My new budgie is settling in well, and he’s adorable. It was certainly worth the trip, and a little bird tells me, I will be returning sometime in the New Year for an addition to my flock!
I visited here today looking for a Syrian hamster since my much loved Henry passed away I needed another hamster to fill the void that he left behind. I couldn't of been more looked after time was taken to help me choose the right hamster for me I didn't feel rushed at any point the lovely gentleman got each one out for me to look at . I'm in a wheelchair and my husband was pushing me so the kind gentleman bought my new little hamster to the car to help make it easier. Iam thrilled with my new little hammy and he's settling in nicely. I totally recommend Adlington pet centre and I will be back to purchase pet supplies for him in the future .
Definitely recommend so much knowledge on animals so helpful and kind it’s the perfect place for all your pets needs. Staff are so friendly, thank you everyone Debbie & Sunny
