Story

Active Hyde is managed by Active Tameside. Active Tameside is the trading name of Tameside Sports Trust which was established in April 1999 to run and manage swimming pools and sports centres in the Tameside area and is supported by Tameside MBC. Active Tameside is a registered charity (registration number 1074808) and a 'not for profit' organisation which means that any surplus income (or profit) must be put back into the facilities and services that it provides.

Fantastic for the children! 
Little bit of a nightmare trying to find a changing room as it was so busy, but it was the school holidays.
Staff were great and customer service from reception staff excellent when dealing with an issue

I used to take my son now 32 here, now I take my granddaughters about once a month. Although the changing area definitely needs to be bigger as it gets very chaotic at busy times we always have a great time. It's great to have a fun pool locally. We don't use the cafe as we bring a packed snack for afterwards. Seems quite clean and well used (the cafe). The pool features a wave machine, a flume tunnel (great fun when the waves are on) a big water slide, a jacuzzi, fountains and a huge water spray that intermittently sprays over a large area. All very exciting! Sometimes in the very busy times swimmers are given coloured wrist bands because the time is limited to one hour. The lockers take £1 coins and tokens. There is a large car park which is free. We have not used the other facilities only the pool, so I can't comment on them. Also there is a good viewing area for the pool next to the cafe, you can have a brew and watch the fun too!

Fun place to go swimming. Waves make a nice change! Lots of fun!

Kids loved it even had to drag them out one down side is that there is drastically too few changing facilities

Decent fun for kids but make sure you check swim times/ age ranges as we had to wait 45 mind or come back in the pm
