Lovely environment, good range of cakes and good service. Nice to pop out with your laptop and enjoy the feel of the place, or hang out with a group. Gets away from feeling like you are in one of the big chain coffee bars. Plenty of seating options to suit your visit.

Only visited twice. First time shortly after it opened. Coffee was average but it took 15 mins for our food. Coffee was all but drunk by this time. Second visit was a lunch meeting. Ordered Welsh Cheddar on Sour dough. Sounded lovely until I was presented with 2 rounds of bread, thinly sliced and pre-sliced cheese. Food is a disappointment. No effort in presentation. 3 stars as the wine is cheap.

Relaxed, cool place to visit pretty much any time of the day. Breakfast, afternoon coffee, and, on weekends, a quiet evening drink. Occasionally hosts food trucks on certain weekends, making it all the better.

Great night at Academy Bar, fab live music, good choice of non alcoholic beers & cocktails. Superb service from the bar staff especially Steve. Highly recommended.

The Academy Bar is an absolute "must" if you fancy a coffee and a nibble. Its beautifully furnished with excellent customer service and a beautiful patio area outside which faces the waterfront. Absolutely recommend.
