Christmas Fayre, been to various events in the museum , always excellent , and have been visiting the museum since I was a child . One of the few remaining places in Northampton that has not been ruined. Definitely worth visiting. Fabulous grounds on both sides of park and super cafe near the bandstand , that also hosts music events occasionally.
Intricate and interesting carvings in the oak room. This museum seems to be a work in progress but a delightful place to visit and lots to see
Free entry however there is a donation box which is advisable as it helps to keep the museum going although small there are interesting things to see. Considering it is situated in the middle of the park it is within beautiful surroundings and does add that bit extra to 'just a walk around the park' thoroughly enjoy visiting here and the kids love it too. Keep up the good work to all the amazing staff who keep this place open and running.

Great place, free admission but well worth leaving a donation... You can learn lots about the history of Northampton there, as well as just getting to explore this massive house. Definitely well worth a visit if you're in the area!
Love taking kids here free admission good birds in Avery on the side of this museum good cafe and open spaces wonderful old standing buildings and a good lake near by and a nice play ground for the kids .
It's an amazing park,with a beautiful garden. If you are looking for a quite green place it's the parfect spot.
