A hidden gem in Abergavenny. The museum is sat within the castle walls and offers a great place to explore for an hour or so. They also hire family games to play and offer a wealth of activities and things to do. A great place to visit.

Nice place. Obviously, the castles are ruins, but lovely none the less. There are benches and the museum is informative and cute. If around the area, especially on a sunny day, I would definitely recommend you to visit and have a picnic.

Castle ruins like these are rich in atmosphere and history, and Abergavenny is no exception. Nearly always quiet when I've visited because tucked away from shops, something I value. Unostentatious museum worth a look at on a cold or rainy day, especially if you like local historical byways.

Interesting small museum with an eclectic mix of exhibitions. The castle ruins are good to walk around and there are lots of boards with information on.

Very interesting for those who appreciate local history. The castle ruins are beautiful the museum us situated in the grounds. It's a short walk from the beautiful town centre of Aberhavenny. We were there on a Sunday so not all the shops were open but still a lovely day out.
