I attended the food festival twice and enjoy a relaxing walk around the grounds. Definitely would recommend for all people!

This is a real gem, set in very pleasant grounds, the castle is everything you hope for, it even has a truly medieval dungeon.

Caldicot Castle is a brilliant piece of history. It has a beautiful country park and free entrance to a substantial castle which is in tact. It's a beautiful, peaceful place on the edge of an area packed with ancient Roman history (it's under 2miles from the Roman remains at Caerwent).
Definitely worth a visit and a wander down to the village centre for tea!

Picturesque castle with amazing views, limited cafe/ shop facilities, lots of very steep steps if you want to see all of it but you can just enjoy the central area. Free entry!
