Been eating here now for 6 months or so. Tonight on a group chat? a friend asked where he should get some food from. Within seconds 4 different people were all raving on about Abduls. Offering our own favourites to devour... In the end we agreed he needed to order all the food!! The quality of their food is on another level, surpasses any Indian takeaway any of us have had before. And in my opinion better than any Indian restaurant I have eaten at in the UK Quality, Presentation and Service are top draw. Do not order from JustEat or whatever. Use their app or ring the order in as much cheaper
Amazing, best Indian take away in Sheffield. The only thing letting them down is popadoms and chutney don't come included with your meal and they're pricey. Other than that, the food tastes AMAZING, presented very well, decent delivery time. I always order vegetarian and every time the vegetables that replace meat are very tasty and varied.
I've ordered from this place three times now and each time the food has been impeccable. I have seriously never had takeaway food delivered to me in such a well presented manner. This restaurant will always be my first call for Indian food for as long as I live in Sheffield!
Great food as always. The pratha starts is excellent recommend it. Only reason didn't give 5 stars was the girl messed my order up and didn't bring everything this happened twice. However they have put things right hence the 4 stars.
I lve Abduls! The food is really great and very quick. The service is excellent. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The premises are extremely clean and bright and there is always a good atmosphere. I am on weight watches and usually have chicken tikka, salad and rice with their gorgeous red sauce on. The tikka is so succulent and tasty, the help yourself salad is fresh and varied and the rice is cooked to perfection. I can still have my spicey chicken without the calories! I sometimes have chicken balti, or Aloo gobi curry, potatoe and cauliflower, which are lovely too. It's a healthier curry, without the rich, ghee ridden sauce of some restaurants. I order on my Abduls app and collect in ten minutes. But they do deliver.
Ordered 2 nihari traditional lamb dishes and asked them to make it hot and saucey. Never got nihari but they gave me lamb karahi spent over 25 pounds bought 3 portions of seek kebabs from the starters which were dry and ready cooked. Chapatis were solid as a rock, pillau rice had gone off by the time we got home. The Sheffield branch is awful and the lady answering their phone had no idea about the traditional dishes that were on offer, hence the lamb karahi instead of lamb nihari, which is like ordering fish and chips but getting fish cake and chips. What a awful experience also the salad was completely battered and lettuce had lost its colour and tasted completely off, and they put a red grape in all 3 of my salads, to sweeten things up i guess. Thanks abduls you really hit the mark.
Worst Indian ever! So many other choices in sheffield. Avoid this one! 15 minutes later than the order time stated on hungry house. When called “drivers stuck in traffic”. That was a lie, my partner having driven past Abdul’s up ecclesall Road said there was no traffic. Even when I called it took 5 mins to find the order or speak to different people. When it did arrive the rice was all cold. The poppadums broken. The pickle tray one of the smallest portions I’ve ever seen. But the worst thing, we order a “chicken tikka masala” which came dry without any sauce. Sorry, but this was just bad all around. 15 other Indians around ecclesall Road to choose from, avoid this over priced one! Much better value elsewhere!
Not child friendly. Plastic cutlery and tableware. No high chairs for my baby and toddler, no baby changing facilities, had to change my baby on my own changing mat on the floor. No metal cutlery, just plastic. No plates just plastic takeaway tubs. No glass cups just plastic disposable. Prices on their board are old so got charged more - trading standards?! Chicken tikka masala oily and full of sugar, too sweet. Over priced. Very disappointed. Won't be visiting again. Spent half the amount of money in Qandil/Antalya restaurant, 70 Spital Hill by big Tesco and was very happy with the delicious shawarma and mixed grill, go Qandil instead!
Super modern, clean and efficient Indian takeaway. Delicious food provided in convenient bowl like plastic containers. Spot on customer service too.
Good Indian take away. Pleasant customers service. The price is reasonable. The selection is ok. The naans are good. Used on regular bases can only recommend.
