Today I met Dr nagel. First face to face. 3 phone conversations. 2nd time was awful. Today was the same. So upset. Arrogant and rude. Bthat coupled with the sheer bullying of the practice manager has left me traumatised. Her denial when I said I would not of come to the surgery if I had not been prescribed an antibiotic that should have been on my records of allergy. This in front of others. OK I was upset. I was hurting with burns from being prescribed medicine recorded as being a no no! Why did I have to defend myself when the wrong was from careless attention to my body's ability to cope with certain meds. So to the practice nurse please check your facts. To Dr nagel I am sorry but I did politely ask you why you seemed to have an issue with me. Dr you are under oath to make sure your patient has good care. You should not belittle the person who is trying to put their trust in you. We should not be made to feel as if we are a nobody. When we stress that alarm bells are ringing about certain prescriptions.. When the outcome is painful sores have some compassion. When you leave a patient to cope with a 6 week infection on their own knowing that the infection needs care, it doesn't leave one feeling very secure about the practice. Also God forbid that you have an underlying mental illness that is hell.. Well Al I can say is at least one in three so they say. So the dark days could hit anyone. It takes guts to write a truthful review especially when you employ a uncaring practice nurse who owes me an apology for threatening me with expulsion and the police and shakes her head in denial about being prescribed a dangerous med. Is she a gp as well?
Great practice. Doctors are always at hand with information and appointments when needed. Reception staff are always courteous and polite. Glad this is my doctors.
I had Doctor *. After car accident she couldn’t answer my questions about my Health so it made me wondering that if you are not from here do you get students instead? When I call them I were told she is on Holiday during Covid. I got pain near heart area after first vaccine so I asked a doctor if I should be concerned, he told me nothing to worry and I better take second vaccine as well. Without examen me, all via phone? Even now after Lockdown it’s very difficult to get to speak with them! last time I call I heard my doctor * has left. NO letter to inform me properly. Neither did anyone assigned another doctor to me!??? COVID period has made it easy for them to ignore their patients and imagine they even get paid for it!!!
I have never had a problem with my clinic. The girls on reception are all so helpful and courteous. The doctors are helpful and nothing is too much for them.
Always had great service over the years. Efficient system in place. All members of staff deserve 5 stars.
Very bad experience for ordering Insulin pens, the receptionist nor doctor were able to prescribe the pens instead they gave false assurance that it is been faxed to pharmacy when it was not. Even after emailing, talking on phone several times they got prescription for insulin cartridges. They hardly could understand the situation without pen how to inject!! They lack the empathy nor the knowledge. Very poor communication between receptionist and doctors concerned. Still waiting for insulin pens this is 4th day.
Have had excellent medical advice and treatment from many of the doctors, treatment room nursing staff, and always find the receptionist staff helpful and friendly however the new phone messaging system is pathetic overly complicated and not customer or patient friendly. Maybe the idea is to put people of making appointments, inquiring about test results or ordering repeat prescriptions. If it is then the system will be a great success. Not everyone that phones a Doctor/Medical centre has the flexibility to make calls at specific times, people can be at work and will be excluded from using this system.
Medical staff are great, very professional, helpful and always lovely. Trying to get an appointment is terrible. The phone system only allows you to call at certain times 2.5 hours in a day! And the 3-4 week wait to see a doctor is almost unbelievable. Edit to add: situation is now critical. No appointments offered other than emergency ones. You cannot see a GP for anything non-urgent. Very poor organisation means staff are actively preventing patients getting medical attention.
Partners currently really ill and has took covid tests yet doctors refused to accept it could be anything other than covid. Same thing happened to a family member of mine, he had a stroke at the start of the year and was on the phone constantly to the doctors but without much help, unfortunately he didn't make it to the end of the year. Maybe things could have been different, but sure at least the doctors are ok and still feel that they are entitled to an hours lunch from a hard day of telling people to get covid tests.
Firstly the doctors are very helpful, getting an appointment is beyond a joke, after finally seeing a doctor, made another booking for my bloods and ear syringing. The appointment was at 12:00, one week later, so decided to book a days holiday from work. 15 mins before my appointment was informed that i had to make another appointment as a piece of equipment was missing and they would not be able to carry my treatment out. Not very professional.
