A lovely open area in Kenilworth. A very pretty church and the remains of an abbey. A children's playground. Duck ponds. It was very busy, so there was no room for parking. It was very muddy - Welly time !
A lovely park. They found a load of medieval remains when digging the new swimming pool but filled them in rather than make it into an interesting historical attraction. Used to sledge here when we were young, but climate change but a stop to that. Talking of which, it’s fun to watch cars struggle through the Ford, that floods more regularly these days. Still 5 stars though as the abbey is lovely and the pond is spectacular….. now where can I rate town councils..?
Gorgeous and peaceful all year round. Perfect for a relaxing walk. I go photographing the beautiful scenery and wildlife every once in a while.
Great 'lung' for Kenilworth! Perfect place for almost everyone...I say almost because there's quite a bit of renovation happening at the moment. The swimming baths have been demolished! Nevertheless, it's a super place to get some fresh, exercise and play for the kids. The pond is a highlight with the ducks and geese and other birds. Also a ideal place to walk the dogs...

It’s refreshing to find a place that caters so well to children, allowing them to expend energy in a fun and healthy environment. The amenities at Abby Field enhance the overall experience significantly. The availability of ample parking makes the visit stress-free right from the start. Clean and accessible restrooms are a welcome convenience, especially for those with young children. What I particularly love about Abby Field is its suitability for picnics. In summary, Abby Field is more than just a park; it’s a vibrant tapestry of history, nature, and family fun. A great green space in the heart of Kenilworth. Plenty of opportunity to explore the different areas with something for every need. Kids play area, ancient Abbey ruins, peaceful church and cemetery, Lake for feeding duckscorn, and grasslands or many veteran trees to admire. Plenty of opportunity to engage with nature, exercise or just relax in a bench and watch the world go by. Very nicely managed for both recreation and environment.
Pleasant space to walk through. Not particularly big or different. Worth while for local residents. Got to see some ancient ruins, but they will be covered up soon
Lovely playground and park. A lot of people are walking their dogs. The birds are singing. The squirrels are very friendly. A squirrel was ready for a photo shooting session - more than 30 pictures in different positions. More than sure for her this photo session was not the first one!
A fantastic place. Large swathes of land, a beautiful lake with birds to feed, playgrounds for kids and castle ruins in the distance. My family lives on campus of the University of Warwick and we take a weekly stroll through the countryside to go to Abbey Fields. Highly recommended to anyone with kids.
One of the best parks I've ever been in. Hills, a huge lake, playgrounds, huge pastures, ancient and diverse trees. I litter pick in the park most weekdays after work and it has been truly healing to find such a relaxing space. Also excellent for doggies!
