A1 Recovery has the facilities to provide an efficient and professional recovery service to private, commercial and the public sector. We are equipped for everything from a motorcycle to a 38 tonne lorry and all at set rates, so you simply pay for what you use. If it takes 2 hours you only pay for 2 hours.

At A1 Recovery a full range of repair and routine maintenance services are offered and anything from changing a bulb to changing a gear box can be undertaken. All this at A1’s great rates and with all services delivered in a quick and professional manner by our fully qualified staff. At A1 Recovery we are happy to work on any make or model of vehicle, including commercial vehicles.

This place is the biggest scam. Constant lies, damaged my vehicle, kept it ckr i months whilst lying to me, then gave it back to me more damaged than it was prior without compensation or remedy. Actually the most unprofessional business and I would highly advise everyone avoiding it. What I would do for these not have touched my vehicle
Quoted 60-90minutesand arrived 2h10m later. Quoted £204:00 for a lifted recovery to home address when only a jump start was required. On arrival gave battery boosted jump start. Refund requested by phone to A1 Recovery in respect of the recovery to home address that was not provided and offered £60 in 5 days to allow time for transfer,I was told. No refund received. I phoned A1 twice more and on the last call was told they would look into it and get back to me. I've not heard from them since. I believe that there was no intention to refund.
I pre-booked my car to be recovered to a garage 3days in advance. I was told by a1 that they were too busy on the day of the recovery so my car did not get recovered and I had to ask the garage if I could get the car to them the next day. I complained to A1 and the manager sorted everything out and early the next morning the truck was there and my car was taken to the garage. Although the car was a day late I gave them 4 stars because the manager went out of his way to fix the situation and kept to his word. Thanks you
A lovely chap from this company came out to me after I requested assistance through my breakdown cover. He got straight to it and sorted my tyre issue but what I was most impressed with was how he took the time to answer questions from my inquisitive 7 and 8 year old boys. He took the time to explain things to them about the tyres and the equipment and my boys listened intently. THANK YOU for showing such kindness, it really helped this stressed Mum out!
This is a very good garage for recovery and car servicing. I have experience of both. As a disabled female I feel confident and happy in all aspects when using this garage. Although the office is not wheelchair accessible there is a bell specifically placed to Summon attention. However, normally one of their engineers will have already said hello and obtained help. They have a simple servicing price system and you know exactly what will be included. my garage of choice

I've used this garage for emergency recovery, repairs, MOT, Services and even just for advice too. It is really scary when you know nothing about cars to trust someone to ensure it is one hundred percent safe but also that they won't rip you off, A1 have always made me feel safe and respected and spoken to me in a way that helps me understand what they're doing. They genuinely treat you like they know you personally and that you're important to them, always keeping me in the loop too. Thank you so much
Called up and spoke to Darren. He seemed fine and helpful but took the wrong road name so the recovery driver had to call me to find out where I was. He also sent out a 10 ton truck when he mentioned a 7.5 ton truck. The 10 ton truck was too big to get round my vehicle so this was a problem. The recovery driver Mark was very helpful and told me that it was a two man job. That's when Steve came to help. The two of them were really helpful and did an excellent job. The recovery was quite hard but they managed to pull it off. After seeing how much effort it was to recover my vehicle and how it could have all gone wrong I was very lucky to have these two A1 recovery drivers come to help me. I was expecting a bill/receipt from the company so I asked the recovery drivers. They said the office should call me the next day to confirm the charges. It has been a few days and I have not heard anything so was a bit annoyed by this. I was charged what was quoted for and the extra for the second driver to come out.
From start to finish i could not have asked for a better service. The gentleman that collected my car was helpful and educational in what the issue was, without being patronising. The gentleman that gave me options so there for not ripping me off. I am very happy with the service and will definitely be using them again
Sent by the AA to assist with my overheating vehicle. The chap that came out was polite, knowledgeable and friendly. He got me going again in 15/20 minutes and I felt reassured that I could make the remaining 2.5hrs journey home to Kent with my family safely.
