My experience of A1 Auto Centre's level of customer service was outstanding. I took my car in for a service and a MOT test. Their staff were very helpful, showed good communication practice and were quick to return my car. They were able to receive my car early as I needed to get to work. To speed up my journey to work, I was even dropped off at the nearest tube station by one of the staff members. In the afternoon, I was telephonically informed of the progress of the service and the results of the MOT. This is not always the norm, as I have normally had to phone other service providers to get an update on the progress of services and MOT tests.  The service and MOT were completed speedily. My car was ready for collection on the same day. I can highly recommend A1 Auto Centre for the services that was provided to me.

Being the FIRST to write a SEMI-POOR yet PLEASANT review for this car mechanic, I can speak as a consumer and marketer that A1's owner saved his business rep by delivering a personal customer service that not many senior management guys would do.

Great to take notes Essex car mechanics!

I took my vehicle yesterday to have my driver's wing mirror replaced due to cone damage from a near-car collision a month back.  Prior to my visit, I bought the car parts online to save costs for the overall job.

Although they did a reasonably fair job, simply asking for a receipt was SUCH A MAJOR HASSLE with Dave as I had not bought the car parts with them directly (Man behind the reception desk).  

Yet every customer is price-conscious that supplying car parts beforehand is a wise move when avoiding labour and time costs incurring for the overall quote.

After much debates in-person and brief phone conversations to the garage, they nonchalantly issued a receipt after a 2nd visit to the garage with added VAT that should have been issued upon collection of my vehicle.

HOWEVER, a few days later; I had a very unexpected visit from A1's owner  at my front door who sincerely apologised for my bad customer experience from his work colleague; expressing his case on how he TRULY wishes to earn back my trust as a customer.

We know the saying -  'talk is cheap'; Mr Thompson (owner) backed up his words by bringing a personal voucher of FREE MOT and Servicing for both mine and my father's cars when due for vehicle check-up - THAT'S what you call humbling yourself and your customers!

Know any car mechanic that cares enough like that anyone?

Overall, A1's owner earned my respect and even taught me a lesson about business and winning your customer's respect; even to the point of personally finding you to express their apologies.

Very thankful for that token of gratitude and remorse for my bad customer experience Mr Thompson.

We all learn from this experience that A1 can really win back respect for Essex's residents!

I cannot recommend this garage highly enough. As a woman they do not intimidate & they carry out the work quickly & always good value. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else !

Very happy with the work completed on my Range Rover Vogue. The mechanics and staff are very helpful and polite and i will definitely be going back in the future!
