Expect to pay around $14 per plate but the portions are generous. The food is very good. I'm not a person who would seek out Indian food, but my wife and kids were interested in checking it out. Glad they did, it was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would gladly return to dine here.
The fish curry is literally the best thing I've ever tasted and remains one of my favorite foods to thus day. All the foods are tasty, and the restaurant smells great because of it. The naan is done perfectly. I am not giving 5 stars only because of the location itself - i think the inside could be a little less dark. The food is freaking fantastic and will keep us coming back.
Absolutely delicious. My first time having Indian food and it was a Wonderful culinary experience. Highly recommend.
I just ate there tonight and it was first time eating Indian food. It was delicious and I love that they use chicken breast instead of thighs! The service was fast and the owner and his family were so kind and wonderful. My son and I will be returning a lot and I already recommended to a friend.
Not great. Asked for medium spice with the lamb curry. Not the slightest hint of spice. Bland flavor. Wife had lamb saag and was also underwhelmed. Very small portions, which probably just reflects inflation. Owner-waiter not terribly attentive or friendly. We rarely go out to eat so this visit was disappointing.
It was really a bad experience. We went there for dine-in and we only two persons in entire restaurant. As we ordered the food, first we ordered the appetizer but the owner told us to order everything together and all come at same time. So our main course gets cold when it times to eat. That's rude approach. The cup of water was so dirty, while replacing that he just cleaned the edge of cup and said it's cleaned now. Lastly the restaurant is closed by 9:30 pm but the owner approached us 30 mins before and told us to leave just because of closing time is 9 pm. So we didn't even finished our food and we had to leave. So ridiculous. Wish I can complain further. With zero rating never visit again. Not recommended.
Friendly and attentive staff. Traditional Indian food with good flavor and freshness. Unfortunately I think this restaurant gets over looked due to its location.
As I’m writing this, my mouth is pleasantly on fire! This is my second time ordering takeout from A Taste of India. The first time I got chicken tikka Masala, garlic naan and vegetable samosas. It was good, but I felt that the tikka Masala was lacking something. I’m glad I returned! I ordered chicken vindaloo spicy with vegetable samosas. The vegetable samosas were crispy and so flavorful with the provided chutneys. The chicken vindaloo has the most tender chicken and potatoes in a spicy curry. Definitely recommend trying something outside of your comfort zone! The staff is sweet and the carry out time was quick. Give them a try!
I don’t usually write reviews cause I know that sometimes it could just be a bad day for that restaurant but this restaurant I just had to. The lady at the counter is very unfriendly no sense of hospitality whatsoever. She had this look on her face the whole time that she didn’t want us to be there. I’ve read the former reviews as well and it seems they only give good treatment to “American” customers. Next the food was the least authentic and worst Indian food I’ve ever had. It brings shame to their name “Taste of India”. The bathrooms also did not seem very clean stains on the wall and door. Definitely will not be coming back.
Had been for dinner yesterday with family. We were hungry so ordered only main course. They had a buffet - though the dishes were ok, didn't get enticed by the looks of the rice dishes as it looked dry. We skipped and chose Ala Carte. We did the right thing! We had Lacha Paratha Onion Kulcha Garlic Naan Paneer Kulcha Veg Jalfrezi Shahi Paneer Korma Jeera rice was provided as an accompaniment. The rotis were fresh, hot and awesome. We had asked for the veg Jalfrezi to be made hot and boy....it was "Indian" Hot. :- we simply loved it. The paneer Korma was very flavourful and very tasty as well. Jeera rice could have been served hot, nevertheless it was tasty and went well with the Shahi Paneer Korma. I had asked for hot water and it was warm. I requested it be made hot and was taken aback when the lady informed that they take tap water and hence the temperature can't be controlled! Overall our experience was unforgettable - with good, fresh and hot food.
