Well, the signposts on the building were for 'Woolliscroft's' and I was kindly informed that the company had been taken over. I was greeted in a professional, supportive way by the reception team member. I was really appreciative and she was a credit to the firm. 👍🏾👍🏽👍🏻

An appointment (free consultation) was made for me at the Stone branch with Helen Jackson. 📂🗂📎

I was most impressed with Helen Jackson for her professionalism, calm manner, politeness and honesty, which included being advised to return once I had £300, and that the money which was owed to me from my former home (of nearly fourteen years) was very small in comparison to houses, for example, in Stone. I respected her for her honesty and completely understood the fact that it can be difficult to acquire equity and fees etc. from some dubious people, as indeed, I have found out myself the hard way. The receptionist was kind too. 

Unfortunately, the company does not accept legal aid clients which is why I cannot issue a 'five star' rating. In this day and age of high unemployment, temporary jobs (as opposed to permanent ones) and contract free jobs we all live in an uncertain job market and provision for ill people, temporarily not working (ill health) needs to be met by solicitors, to avoid any discrimination and legal advice only being available for people with financial assets (and who have had respectful former partners / spouses who pay what is due in spite of a relationship break up, not that I have had this  experience myself).

Nevertheless, I would recommend Helen Jackson and 'Woolliscroft's' if people have the money.

Even the Hanley branch offered me a cup of tea when I walked in sobbing on one occasion. 

It is good to know that the different branches have a consistent, professional, caring approach, and helpful for people if they move to another area and need another branch.

It is a shame that you could not fully help me on this last occasion. Thank you for treating me with respect and dignity though.

 I am still penniless and have been left 'high and dry' after owning half of a house with someone who has offered me nothing and taken everything from me.

Took my dad for his appointment today, being disabled big effort to get there, arrived 5 min early.  Kept  waiting 35 mins no explanation. When asked he was on phone. In my experience solicitors keep appointment and phone back in allocated slots as they charge. No sorry given by secretary so left and searching for better. Don't bother
