Went to Koen for the first time on our Anniversary. It was packed! Definitely loads of people and you basically share a booth space with other people. It would be great in a bigger party. We ordered the Happy Hour Special and it was delicious. We also ordered a Shrimp Tempura Sushi roll which was also really good. It was definitely a Korean BBQ/Japanese Hibachi place you have to grill your own meat there which is fine and fun. Not necessarily a place I would take young kids as the grill is built into the table and there is opportunity for little to try and touch. It is also rather pricey. So definitely more of a nicer restaurant for dates/a nice group night out. Either way my husband and I enjoyed it as the food was really good.
Took my wife here on a date, prior to having to take an extended trip away from her. While the wait to be seated on a Saturday night was quite longer then the reservation would have indicated, the food itself was a proper farewell and the server was very friendly. Definitely be back.
I love my Korean foods, it's almost impossible to find that authenticity here in the states. But I recommend giving this place a try. The atmosphere isn't anywhere near authentic but food makes up for it. Plus great fun cooking together!
Food for every one's taste. Sushi only, Sushi & BBQ or fully prepared rice/lomein dishes. Don't miss this one!! Love how they help you celebrate birthdays. So enjoyable!! Way to go Koen
Love this restaurant. Reasonable price with wonderful atmosphere. Both sushi and BBQ is good enough.
This is not just food, this is an experience. It's pricey but it's worth it. Perfect date night, and everything was incredibly tasty. Get the rangoons, they're killer!!Food: 5/5
$36 sashimi combo shown here. Portions were meager at best. Wasn't the only thing we ordered thank goodness. Rolls were very good.
I ordered a chef's choice of assorted sushi and was pleasantly surprised. The portion was good and food was excellent. The service was impeccable as well. Only thing I would point out is that the size tables were quite small and was barely accommodating the three of us. At some point there was quite a traffic of food. The cabins could also be a little further from each other. But overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend it.
We LOVE coming here for special occasions as it is a little more on the expensive side. Excellent service, incredible food, and super unique dining experience! You have to try this place!
Our experience at Koen was top notch as far as dining experiences go in Lincoln. We loved their interactive barbeque and every sushi roll we tried was better than anything we've had at other sushi restaurants. But our waiter whose name I can not recall was the cherry on top of a perfect meal. The food came out prompt, he explained everything really well and even arranged an amazing mini birthday rave right there at our table with fried ice cream to boot!!! It's on the pricier side but totally worth it for special dates and celebrations. Thank you so much! We will be back and we are bringing all our loved ones on their special days!
