What a great place for nice family dinner. Great selection of meals to satisfy everyone and prices that won’t break the bank account. Will be back
Zizzi has upped it's game for vegetarians - hurrah!! More vegetarian & vegan items on the menu and the pesto and parmesan cheese have been replaced by vegetarian options. Waitress and chef very happy and patient to share information. Only downside was that at 5.15 on a Thursday, it was very quiet and lacked atmosphere - but that's more about the time we ate than the restaurant.
Very nice atmosphere. However I would advise booking a table before you go! This was also from buyagift. So it was a set menu.
Really friendly staff and gorgeous food ! The staff couldn't be more helpful it was a nice atmosphere too
Very disappointing visit on Boxing Day. Food was not very fresh and poorly presented and there was some unpleasant smell near the kitchen. Poor service - there was one waitress- Polish Lady who was nice and helpful but she left shortly after we arrived and the other waitress who took over wasn’t really interested, she kept eating behind the counter and got the order wrong. She didn’t even acknowledge us leaving, didn’t say thank you or good bye although service charge was added to the bill- which was not deserved at all!!!
Zizzi is always amazing - such a good vegan and gluten free menu. Delicious pizza and a divine dessert. My husband loved his meal, too. Great service. Lovely evening.
My favourite chain as a vegan and Zizzi Tunbridge Wells did not fail to live up to expectations. Great food, nice atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. If you are a vegan, check out their vegan menu, although they were also happy to veganise their 'special' pizza.
In general I really like Zizzi's menu because their gluten free pizza bases and vegan cheese are some of the best I've tried in chain restaurants. But the other day I visited the Tunbridge Wells branch with my whole family, and thought the restaurant wasn't up to it's usual standard. The waitress told us that they had run out of several dishes from the Christmas special menu, which didn't change our food choices, but did seem like a long list of missing items. Then once we ordered, the waitress kept coming back to tell us things we ordered had run out too. If these were unusual ingredients I wouldn't of thought much of it, but they had run out of GARLIC BUTTER AND VANILLA ICE CREAM. Surely they're pretty easy and crucial things to keep in stock at a family Italian style restaurant?
This was my first visit to the Zizzi in Tunbridge Wells. The variety on the menu was as you’d expect from this chain, with a good amount of choice. The size of the pizzas really varied even though they were all about the same price. Some of our pizzas were massive and were too large to finish, others were not large enough. It could have comfortably fitted in a breakfast bowl. We could have split up the pizzas between us, then we would have had the right amount to eat. As for the cleanliness of the restaurant, most of us found it ok. However, I found what looked like fish skin on my plate even though I don’t remember fish being on the menu, which wasn’t very pleasant and made me wonder what was under the pizza that I couldn’t see. One of the ladies toilets was blocked and began to fill up. We told one of the waitresses when we left, so don’t know what they did about it. The mix-and-match furniture was an interesting touch, giving the feel that the restaurant has the Italian “It’ll do” attitude, but paint peeling off the walls is a bit over the top.
Not the smartest place to go. Furniture filthy. In fact the whole place needed a going over. My pasta was good but my husband' gf pizza was raw in the middle! The waitress was vert helpful and good.
