Perfect for a special occasion. Pricey but worth it. Best Italian food I’ve had in the UK.Food: 5/5
Lovely cosy restaurant, great atmosphere, quick service, excellent food. Would be a pleasure to visit again when in the area. Highly recommended! Edit a year in after the first experience..The food was still great but the service was rushed. Although the booking was for 2.45, they've told us as soon as we sat down that the kitchen closes at 3 pm. The plates were cleared as fast as they were brought and although polite, we felt rushed out of the restaurant.
Hidden gem - tucked away not on main drag. Been coming here over 15 years, whenever I came to King’s Rd, this place never disappoint! Service is attentive and personal. Clienteles are all Chelsea residents and on mature side. Good old fashioned Italian with personal service, with Chelsea prices to match. Wont suit group but good for intimate date night.
Where “Intimate” takes on a new definition. Another favourite with the locals who would not be able to distinguish “Al fresco” from “Al dente” and neither can the owners. Unpleasantly hot and noisy when full even though the waiters are extremely attentive, possibly knowing that they need to get you out asap. Arriving and leaving early saves you from the poor acoustics. The food is passable Italian fare.

Good food. Veal, salmon capacious, and the egg plant parmesan very good. Staff very accommodating allowing me to get a dinner portion of the egg plant parmesan. I like the location. It is off the beaten path and it seems many locals dine at Ziani'sFood: 5/5
Amazing! This place has not changed for 20 years. Now sometimes that's a good thing, but in this case it's just lazy. It's the same old school establishment where the tables are so close together that you can read the washing instructions on your neighbour's clothing labels and can hear every salacious syllable of every word spoken or whispered; where the toilets are still sporting that 1990s refurb; where the "traditional" breadsticks have been grabbed from a job lot stashed in the store room several decades ago; and where the menu has evolved at glacial pace pre-global warming. I've been more inspired watching my kids make food with play dough. The Carpaccio di Pesce for £18 was served like a packet of bresaola from Sainbury's; each circular piece carved perfectly by a machine in some factory. The charcoal grilled sea bream served with a mint sauce for £25 resembled a pair of Asda packaged fillets delivered toute seule on a white plate with what tasted and looked like Colmans mint sauce in a mini-ramekin on the side. There is so much quality in London these days, food that lifts the spirits and encourages hyperbole and all for the same price or less and without the enforced eavesdropping. This restaurant must be on its last legs, what with its cuisine and ambience as lethargic as the patrons that must surely limp from a radius of no more than 100m. The only positive is the service which is both attentive and charming, although woe betide you if you hang around too long after 9.30pm on a Wednesday evening... the feeling of having over-stayed one's welcome creeps up pretty quick.
Rather tucked away so easy to miss as not on main roads, but definitely worth visiting. Bread, starters, wine, and Pasta all good whether eating in restaurant or for take out.Food: 4/5
Gorgeous atmosphere and even better food! Service is fast and friendly. Best pasta in londonFood: 5/5
Ziani’s is an Italian classic, for how Italian food should best be enjoyed in London. The waiters are delightful and knowledgeable, and more importantly extremely accommodating. If you want something that comes cold warmed up? Say less. The food is delicious and true to proper Italian traditional way with some home comforts sprinkled in. Remember - this is rustic and easy, no fuss no muss. Don’t expect a drinks list or an overly large menu, and take advice from the waiters.
