We have visited this vet many times. Located next to the Heath for great dog walking. Vets and staff are always very pleasant and reasonable. Highly recommended.
Wonderful doctors, but good luck getting your prescription. I ordered my dog's medicine a month ago, when he was still in the window from his last vet apt., came by a few days later, they didn't have a prescription for him. So, they put it back in system and said they would text me its ready. No text, I came back a month later and am suddenly no longer in the window from his last vet apt, but not to worry, it'll only be £10 extra. So as a customer, expect to to pay for the administrations mistake. Obviously, I'm taking my business elsewhere and not paying for something that was not my fault.
I cannot share enough the gratitude that our family has for the Medivet Team. Dr. G Van Lelyveld is very kind and understanding. We moved from abroad with our 15 year old Moka Yorkie and the Medivet team was very welcoming since day one despite Moka’s age and condition. Dr. G Van Lelyveld cares deeply about the pets under his care. Thank you Medivet team! Highly recommend!
Medivet Hampstead cares for both pet and worried owner. While their expertise is impressive but it is their empathy that I particularly appreciate. You will be in very good hands.
I've been coming in for the last three years with my two cats. Even though the staff has changed, I keep receiving wonderful care and services. Always feel welcome and get properly explained helpful advise regarding nutrition, dental and preventative care, or other queries. The staff make sure everything is understandable, and take time to extend the topic a bit deeper if needed.
Medivet Hampstead is always there when you need them It’s so comforting to know your pet has quality healthcare round the corner. Grant is a wonderful vet who has a unique and special bond with animals. He knew exactly the right treatment for my Labrador and she was better in no time. Lillie on reception is always helpful and friendly too which makes you feel welcome. Thanks for being there Medivet Hampstead
Ridiculously over price was charged £7 for a earbud straight out of a Johnson and Johnson box the whole box cost only £1 just for a swab of my dogs ears just been on the phone to the receptionist excellent service by her just watch out for hidden cost at this place they will say they need this done ect and won’t explain that this will encore an extra charge and the slap you with a £300 bill for ear drops
A little overpriced for my bunny to have her claws clipped. Is quite small and cramped with not much space in the waiting room. They did a good very service and very local to me so will go again for convenience.
It’s sad to say but this practice seems to have got a lot worse since it's change to MediVet. We've been using them for three years and since the change, every time we've taken our cat there they've always recommended the most expensive route towards finding the solution, often leading to no results which was baffling for us. A huge problem with this particular practice since the MediVet change is the sheer amount of staff turnover. With a new vet each time, I spent most of the appointment explaining the previous visits rather than the vet being thorough and actually examining our cat. All this leads the overall MediVet experience feeling less personal, which isn’t a great trait for any vet practice. Most of the advice given was so vague; the problem could be this or it could be that. I’ve never been into this practice and been given a solid nor confident diagnosis for anything. I understand that some issues are complex and may have multiple causes but the vets here need to be more cautious about which treatment route to take, before just recommending the most expensive option. Others have said this and it’s 100% true – this place is extortionate for the levels of service it’s currently providing. On various appointments, we’ve gone in there and the examination has been 15 minutes or less, but we’ve still been charged a ridiculous sum. Since the renovation, the inside of the practice itself just looks and feels a bit clinical. Zazman had a lovely community feel to it and I imagine the staff there felt that as well. You’d walk in and see a notice board filled with community notes, decorations, pet of the month etc. This might seem silly but often pet owners are sitting in the waiting room worried about their pet. All the various things to look at were a welcome distraction. This practice now just feel cold and unwelcoming with white walls and bright lights – I can’t imagine working in that place would be a lot of fun and maybe that’s a contributing factor towards the service levels. I've now switched to a different vet and have seen them for the same issue. The approach between the two practices was wildly different. My new vet sat down with us for almost an hour asking us questions and being incredibly thorough with their examination. They were cautious about us spending money and advised a linear treatment plan with a follow up appointment a week later with the same vet. The big difference was that my new vet seemed to actually care about us and our pet and it showed. I’ve genuinely not wanted to leave a negative review for this place as I’m sure it does help many of its clients but after three years of fairly poor service, I felt it necessary to provide some honest feedback. I sincerely hope the practice improves for it’s other clients.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been recommended to this practice when I got my rescue dog Teddy 7 years ago The staff have all been amazing. My dog has been extremely unwell and all of the vet team especially Grant went out of his way to do all the tests that were needed whilst reassuring me of his progress whilst he was in their care.
