I took my family to Yr Ieuan Ap Iago on Sunday 28.09.25 at 4pm. What a disgrace to the food & beverage industrynWhoever is running the dump needs replacing.n-Dirty tables full of dirty plates and glassesn-We had to clear a table ourselves to sit downn-only one bartender serving at the bar who was tired as she'd been working since 8am, she complainedn-no glass collector employedn3/4 filled pint of lagern-food was abysmal. We were there to eat steaks but none on the menu 1984 is heren-As I walked out I commented, 'that's the worst Weathetspoons I've been to', a gentleman responded, 'You havent been to the Merthyr one then'.
Amazing service! I was unfortunate enough to sit in a booth where the seat was wet, they swiftly apologised and looked into it.nnThe manager looked at the cameras to see what had happened he even offered to do a sniff test but I didnt think that was fair.Thankfully it wasn't any bodily fluids as I had feared, and just where a baby had spilled a glass of Pepsi earlier that day. The response and resolution was amazing! I can now rest easy knowing that I did not sit in someone else's urine.
2nd visit to weatherspoons aberdare for breakfast & on both occasions no eggs for breakfast. How hard is it to get eggs from the local shops. No apology nothing, will not be going again for breakfast. Found a great little cafe just round the corner, fantastic tasty breakfast & great value for the money. Lovely clean place & friendly staff. Will return on our next visit to aberdare.
3 of us went for food. Chicken burger cold minimum salad. Pizza dry burnt barely any topping. Curry sauce cold. Eggs broken running over the plate. Chips cold what shambles. Refund go elsewhere rubbish. Chef looked surprised we left our poorly made food.
Undoubtedly another fantastic Wetherspoons pub. Very clean and well laid out. Fantastic provisions for social distancing. Extremely friendly and helpful staff serving exceptionally tasty, hot and reasonably priced food. There's a car park right opposite which is handy if you're not visiting on foot. Once seated, ordering was a breeze as I always use their app. The food was delivered very quickly and the portions were good. The male restroom was spotless and maintained to the highest standards too. I'm sure I'll be visiting here more frequently when in the area. I can't recommend it highly enough.
