Absolutely horrible company. They should not even get one star. Avoid at all costs if you can. A nightmare. Old tenants had them as a electricity company. When I joined and tried to leave them they charged me nearly over a thousand for extra charges which they promised will pay back. Its been now two months sinve I left them. And no sign of my money every time I call them to ask for it its in transit. Surely it shouldn't take this long. Horrible horrible company.
My oh my….what a disgusting company this is!! We were hoodwinked into going with this shocking company and like many other small businesses, would’ve folded if we hadn’t escaped. We were one of the very few lucky ones! We were persuaded to go with them by a ‘comparison company’ but have suspicions that they were actually YGP employees. We realised our mistake instantly and got our previous suppliers to put a block on them instantly. So far so good. A month later, YGP managed to regain the contract. We have no idea how…just that they are beyond unscrupulous. So we had 2 months where we had to give them £350. They didn’t take any notice of the actual meter readings….obviously. Long story short, we managed to escape them once and for all with many emails and phone calls. I can’t tell you how many sleepless nights this company gave us. It made us so ill with anxiety and stress. Anyway, we have finally managed to get our refund back amounting to a few hundred pounds. Also, I don’t know what YGP’s stance on data protection is…but they sent us another companies bill!!!!! We will be contacting this poor company now this has been resolved. Hopefully it might give them some leverage to escape too! My advice?? Go to Octopus…they go above and beyond to help and have been in contact with us throughout this nightmare!
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY!!! They are disorganised, unfair and have no regard for customers. They will collect huge amounts of money via DD based on made up HIGH metre readings estimates.Take your money and refuse to give it back, even though you’ve overpaid them. Call after call no one helps you, if you refuse to pay they threaten to shut your metre down and put you out of business while adding charges to your account. You have zero control of anything, they do what they want and you have to fight to get what’s rightly yours. I have offered £50 per month plus my bill amount and they have refused it, they want £100 per week on top of my bill, really supportive in this current climate, where we are all struggling. I’m a single mum and have a sole trader business. I’ve found this whole time with them really distressing. Please get me away from this company!
I wouldn't even give this company one star. Absolutely shocking, I have been in dispute with them for 19 months now and still come to no resolution. Can not talk to customer services who is based in South Africa, they don't understand me, the line is constantly cutting out....how is anything supposed to be resolved? Iam still waiting for a call back from January! They are very quick to send out estimated bills, why when iam supposed to have a smart meter! They send emails but won't talk to you.... Avoid this company at all costs.
I received a bill for over £2,000 for a period of 15th August to 7th November 22. Absolutely unreal, they said because I was out of contract, but I had not even signed one as I moved into my office in the August. I called and said I did not receive anything from them to introduce them as my supplier. After alot of back and forth they now have it down to £407.00. Companies should not be allowed to do this it is like pick a number! Now I have sorted out a payment plan to clear this, I am getting threatening debt collection agency letters
18 months fighting for the right bills send meter readings contacting them through email and phone calls we r a small business bills they want are 8.000 pound we had someone yesterday coming to the business trying to break in they had a warrant we had no alternative to pay 1700 pounds otherwise they would of cut electric and gas supply and they made us send direct debit details to set up monthly cost they want 806 pound for electric and they want 806 pound for gas this month next month and the month after they want 2200 for electric and 1900 for gas absolute disgusting we don't have anything gas. It's absolute disgusting I have been suffering from cancer for last 12 months and my hubby has now found out he also has cancer. I can't believe the stress we under through this horrible company I can't believe they can continue to trade. I can't see way out of this bloody terrible.
I am in dispute with these people firstly charging me for mains gas, I have no gas! then bill went from £600 to £3000 now £6000 the meter is broken they refused to send someone out and sent people to disconnect the service for both eletric and gas, I told them good luck with fining the gas meter, the agent said they would call the police if I did not show him where the gas meter was. I told him to call offgem and they had to tell him we have no gas. he could see the elertic meter was not working. please save yourself the effort these guys are a joke
Breach of license in supplying a residential dwelling when not licensed to. Fraud - keeping money from a government scheme under my name when you didn’t supply. Coercion - trying to tie me to paying a final fee but not giving the final figure but making me sign to say I’d basically pay anything. Trying to disconnect a property you don’t supply and when a vulnerable household 2 blind boys. When I accepted a settlement figure you then wouldn’t settle. Dispute resolution is awful as is the complaints process. Director of operations won’t reply. Harassment via phone and email. Truly abhorrent company - off to the ombudsman and action fraud.
AVOID!!!!!!!!! Got a bill of over £22,000 for 8 months for just a small business and on top of that still getting charged £300 a month. When complaint was made, the bill was then dropped to just over £12,000. If I could give them 0 stars I would! Absolutely horrific, cannot believe how this is legal.
Scam company never join, the are ripping customers off with extornate charges for places that are not being used! £400+ for an empty unit which is not being used and business has been closed down!!!!!! SCAMMERS!!! They also charge you £50+ for not using direct debit so that can rip you off even more. Everyone need to complain to Ofgem and the fraud investigations team to get this company shut down!!! Also report it to the newspapers and trading standards!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!!
