We'd not been here for a few years, since before the lockdowns so it's been a while. You now pay before you eat, probably cuts out the chance of people just walking off and not paying. As always, a good choice of dishes to pick from, Chinese, British, salads, pizzas and even sushi I think I saw. The salt n pepper chips were lovely, plus the prawn toast - that's always a winner.
After coming to this restaurant a couple of months ago the bad reviews said it all, it used to be a great place to eat, I thought I would give it another go and wow what a different place. we were greeted by gracethe managerand sat to a table, where do I start. the food was all hot and fresh, loads more selections of dishes, staff happy and smiling, looked very clean as staff was constantly cleaning the food area, even the toilets were spotless.well done for bringing the restaurant back to what it was. See you again very soon.
Honestly do not waste your money! They make you pay before you sit down. I can understand why as after eating the food you would not want to pay for it! The chicken looked pink, everything was lukewarm and you could tell it had been sat there for a long time. Also the signs were in the wrong places so you had to take a guess to what you was getting. Also the cakes are definitely shop bought such as Mr Kipling cakes. Was my first visit and was told previously that it is awful. I wish I had listened. Do not waste your money.
Went yesterday with my son around 5:30pm. We was really disappointed. After reading other reviews I can't say the place wasn't clean or the food wasn't hot as it was. Although it was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The young girl on the till, didn't have the best customer service attitude and was very blunt. Wasnt able to have any alcohol. The food although was hot was like eating cardboard, there was no flavour to it. We left after 20 minutes and I had to take my son somewhere else to eat after. We definitely wouldn't return
Went in 14th November 2022 I didn’t even finish one plate or drink before I walked out. There was hardly any food available on the buffet, what was there didn’t taste nice at all. Some things tasting weird I’m a big Chinese food eater usually something just didn’t sit right. There was no license where they could see alcohol so I’m guessing it was in review or they’ve had it removed. The restaurant just seemed very down hill since opening back up since covid. You’d think they would improve after their 1 star hygiene rating last year! I’m very disappointment in the restaurant service and food. I don’t think I would go again, I was a regular too if I was in town shopping.
Shame you can't give this place no stars. First time years I have been back here and I can not believe I was charged £86 for 2 adults and 4 children but had to pay adult prices all because there above a certain height. The food was disgusting went for the chicken curry twice and had to complain because there was no chicken in it it was potatoes and when I complained I got told that's how its made. I have never had a chicken curry with boiled potatoes in it in my life. I will never eat in this place ever again years ago used to be a good place now it just needs shutting down.
On a Friday night, the week before Christmas at 8.30pm, you'd expect to see a large crowd. But no, no-one. This should tell you to not pre-pay but to walk away. But we didn't. So, we paid an absurd amount for 3 cokes and 3 plates of dried up 'food'. Desserts were Mr Kipling's rejects drizzled with coloured sauces to make them look 'original'. Walking around whilst eating was the only way to keep warm, unless you wanted to sit and freeze whilst staring at the mould around the windows. Staff were, however friendly. That is the only redeeming feature.
The food was cold at first but the lady that was working was great, good customer service and she was very welcoming. Shame the food wasn't very hot and wasn't much for me as a selection, the curry sauce was like water and the ice cream scoops was covered in ice cream, maybe kids shouldn't have their hands in their or in the sweet selections as it doesn't leave it very appetising after seeing some kid with his hands in them or people licking their fingers then moving on to the next food section Kid-friendliness: They welcome kids but it would be nice if some parents didn't let them have their hands in the food or sweet selection. Parking: No parking at the establishment but there is parking in other places around the town.
Delicious food! Loved the ribs, the chicken, the black bean sauce, the rice. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved it. And the desserts!! 10/10 easily
Remind me never to go again. I turned up on a Saturday evening at just before 2000hrs expecting it to be busy. It wasn't. I'd planned on a few cocktails, but even though all the drinks menus were out, they have some sort of odd licencing that meant they weren't doing alcohol There wasn't everything available and refilling didn't happen. The Thai crackers had obviously been out all day and were sadly lacking any sort of crack! Some of the other dishes had also seen better days. I came away feeling very dejected and then had to also suffer indigestion.
