Such a shame! We took our daughter as a treat before she starts 'Big school'. She loves the Yo Sushi in Bristol and was excited to go. Unfortunately it was a disaster. Although it was only half full we wated 20 minutes just to be seated as there was only two front of house doing everything. None of the tables were cleared so it was very dirty and there was only 3 dishes going around the conveyor belt. We ordered and the good was great but the servers forgot our drinks. Our daughter was very upset as she had been excited and it was meant to distract her from the stresses of starting a new school but only added to them. In conclusion the chefs were great but two servers to sit people, clear tables, take orders and serve food is not enough. They were slow which led to failed orders. I honestly would have spent 3 times the amount if I could actually order from someone or seen some food on the conveyor.
Absolutely loved the place. The staffs were so nice and friendly. The entire concept of having whatver you want from the conveyor belt whilst ordering the main ciurse snd drink is amazing. The food is top notch. No complaints whatsoever. Definitely visiting the place again.Food: 5/5
The food was nice and the manager was a lovely guy and the other lady on front of house was helpful. However, the attitude of the chefs ruined the atmosphere well one chef in Particular who kept complaining when people were ordering food/ mumbling about finishing early because their was only one table in while I understand people have a life outside of work; it was a downer on the atmosphere. I will not be visiting again due to this.
Staff were great, arrived 15 mins early and were very accommodating. Although the comment on the booking wasn’t honoured even though the table seemed to be free, we were placed on table 21 which turned out to be much better and quieter allowing us to enjoy our meal. Great to see the belt is back however still not 100% and back to how it used to be unfortunately however still was great! Will definitely be back soon, fingers crossed there’s more food on the belt.
What a joke of a place! A massive rip off! 6.95 for the smallest most basic plate of sushi, and the rolls were TINY. I can't believe the fine dining prices for mediocre sushi. How can you charge that much?? I can get exceptionally better sushi for HALF the price in other places, especially in other western countries. The quality of 'Japanese' is laughable. The music was loud as hell and annoying. And the place feel and looks dirty. The toilet was disgusting. You can't even put on enough staff to cover the quietest night. Cheap business owners! The poor lovely workers doing their best. The staff were nice at least. The sushi restaurant is a joke..
Very helpful staff to ensure I was happy sat up to a high table. There were a few options for wheelchair users but they were taken by other guests, however my wheelchair could rise up to meet the high table. The food was good and we only stopped for a quick bite!Food: 5/5
It was ok. Yo sushi is a fast and cheap alternative and serves the job. The manager/host is super friendly. I would recommend staying with the hot food. Sushi is ok but take rools. Yo sushi is not a place to slowly enjoy a sashimi and a wislde variety of fishes.Food: 4/5
Totally brilliant. Visiting here regularly is on our bucket list. Korean chicken among the many outstanding dishes our table tried. Highly recommended booking in advance as it's very popular.Food: 5/5
After visiting Yo! Swindon I wanted to share the experience with my mum. Car parks nearby or bus stop within easy walking distance. Greeted and directed to our seat as the restaurant quickly started to fill up. Manager was friendly and engaging, had a nice chat at the end of our meal. Service differs from Swindon, and I much preferred theirs. They bring your dishes and you can help yourself to something that catches your eye. Here you order and it comes to you briefly stopping at your table. However, our dishes were very staggered. The food was delicious, recommend the Prawn Gyoza not pictured as ate it quickly!! hot and thoroughly enjoyable - would happily visit again.
Arrived for a late lunch. There were only 3 other tables there with a total of 5 customers, 2 of which were already in eating. There were at least 8 people working. Ordered a few simple items and a received a small roll within 5 mins. Then had to wait for over 25 mins before our some not all of our food to show up. It took another ten mins for another item to show up. Ended up canceling the rest of our order because we weren’t interested in waiting another half hour for the rest of the food to arrive. Hostess/waitress was great but the kitchen staff were all standing around doing nothing. One of the cooks was standing right behind our table talking about his weekend plans swearing about this and that right in front of my 8 year old. Then when we canceled our order he gave me a dirty look and muttered under his breath. Not sure what he said exactly but it sounded like a racial slur. Imagine having the nerve to say that to an Asian man in a Japanese restaurant. A horrible representation of Yo Sushi. Needs to be fired. Won’t be coming back.
