Updated review - we visited here again today as a family and the food was delicious however the service was extremely poor! We had to go and get our own cutlery as our food arrived but we had nothing to eat it with and then we waited ages for our drinks. The service gets worse unfortunately. Previous review - We enjoy this as a treat and is always delicious. My only negative is that the waiters could be a little more attentive when you order bottomless green tea etc you have to really battle to get their attention.
First time at Yo! And it was great, the novelty of your food and drink coming on a conveyor belt is great although slightly frustrating when it not your food that goes past. We had a variety of things including Yo! fries, popcorn shrimp, duck roll, chicken gyoza, Avocado Maki and more. They were all great and came in good time. Can’t wait to come again!
First time at YO! A pleasant experience, enjoyable food and great service from the chef. Just a little difficult justifying the cost of such small dishes. Family of four £70? A lot of money for essentially a light lunch. Would now like to try other sushi bars for comparison.
Where to start. Kitchen work perfectly. Service was slow, forgot stuff, mess on the table, cleaning tables took ages toot them min 5-10 mins before they started cleaning and they didnt clean it properly food was still on the table after they “cleaned it” Disgusting. Dirty glasses because they didnt know how to use clout. Disgusting again. 7 ppl left because they didnt want to wait when waiter will finaly clean tables. So if you need somebody who know what he/she doing let me know and I will train them and show them how to do their work properly
Feel very sorry for the staff here because there simply arent enough of them to deal with yo sushis terrible new ordering system. Stacks of plates left uncollected and dirty tables. The ordering system via qr code is a massive step back and simply slows down the whole process. Had to wait over 40 minutes for 4 items of food to come, with refills of water and miso simply never turning up. Hugely overpriced for what used to be quick and reliable food. Probably my last trip to a yo sushi
Food was very nice, but portions small and pretty expensive a sign of the times I guess. The conveyor belt is fun - especially for families, but sitting directly opposite others eating feels a bit odd! You may be lucky enough to get a booth tho. Felt clean enough, but a bit grubby by the belt, sensor and light. Not likely to touch the food at all, but still... It was a good experience all in all and I will likely go back one day, but perhaps when I am not quite so hungry!
All the fun has been taken out of the experience by the recent i.e. prompted by the pandemic changes. Service not great either - had to go and find chopsticks myself, no paper napkins provided. Won't be back in a hurry - very disappointed, not the treat it used to be. Food was fine, but not as good as I remember in previous visits.
I have went to eat at Yo Sushi Cribbs a couple times as I also work at Cribbs, and the food there is great. It’s quickly served and the staff there are really kind and prompt with the service too. One of the very first thing they asked was if I have allergies, so there is no need to worry about if they will poison you. One of my favourite things about going there is talking to Daisy as she tends to serve me a lot and she is very quick with the service. Total recommend !
Half the menu was missing from the app because they said they'd run out at 1230 on a Saturday! 2 staff on the floor so not surprised they were miserable. They've taken the fun out of Yo Sushi. 20 mins to wait for food. We left.
Please stop forcing people to order through an app! Where’s the hospitality gone? Also - on the last two occasions I’ve visited your menu prices have been cheaper than what you actually pay on the app. I still remember the good old days of ordering through a real person or choosing your food from the conveyor belt - why not just go back to this. We’re not in a pandemic anymore!
