Table for 6, three grandparents, one 10 year old, two parents, and one well behaved dog. Two of the grandparents chose Roast Turkey with Pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puddings from the kids menu pensioners’ portions and said they were a perfect size; I had the Crispy Duck salad starter as a main, which was absolutely delicious.  All this and a very personable and helpful waitress, Katherine.  Altogether a most enjoyable Sunday lunch.
This place gets the job done for a good feed and is great for families.nnStaff were super friendly and attentive. The food hits the spot and falls firmly in the bracket of gastro pub grub.nnThe venue still retains the chain vibe a bit which is a shame and probably wouldn't recommend for just drinks given the focus on food service.nnAll in all a solid shout if visiting with friends and much improved since my previous visit.
Walked in for lunch with my kids. Really lovely and polite service. Lunc can be quite stressful with two under 5 on your own but Ben and the very polite Scotsman were both very accommodating and looked after us brilliantly. It was all warm welcomes and good manners - absolutely essential and delivered brilliantly. Had the steak pie and it was classic pub food . Kind and polite service goes a long way with me and I would absolutely recommend giving this place a go for a pint and a bit of classic grub.nnThank you to the boss, to Ben and the staff.
Lamb shank shepherd pie actually had a whole lamb shank in it!!! Meals were of a very decent size and filling. Staff were very friendly. Prompt service from Robert and his team. They kindly brought out a child high chair even when I offered to carry it out. Atmosphere was relaxed. We ate outside but the interior looked very nice and we would have been happy to eat inside also.

What amazing food and the portions were big, worth every penny.nThe atmosphere was lovely and full of laughter.nThe staff were so helpful, friendly and willing to have a giggle with you.nWill defiantly be returning and advising family and friends to attend this lovely place.
