Myself and my partner sampled the take away roast dinner with a dessert each from this pub having never eaten here before. The food was second to none! It came pre prepared with simple instructions to follow to heat through for 20 minutes in the oven so you knew that when it came to plating up your meal it was lovely and hot. Whilst there are establishments out there where you take your meal home and plate up straight away I was more than happy to wait whilst my food was “finished off” in the oven for 20 minutes in exchange for hot food. To say I was impressed with the quality of our food was an understatement- it was reasonably priced, fresh, delicious and not to mention very generous portion sizes! This was a much needed lockdown treat and we will certainly be sampling out the pubs food again whether it’s another takeaway roast or in the future when it’s safe to do so a sit in meal.
Didn't eat, just had a few drinks with friends i meet up with once a month.Service: 5/5
Fantastic place and an absolute asset to Crowland. Dean and Stacey are always very welcoming, and the food is absolute top notch. Stu always serves with a smile, and great to chat with. Thanks Ye Olde Abbey will be back.Food: 5/5
Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Abbey. Closest meal to a good home cooked Sunday roast. Also amazing value for money. Highly recommend for a really satisfying meal.Food: 5/5
Lovely friendly place to eat drink and be merry. Excellent cider. Didn't eat but the food looked spot on and the amount of people tucking in seemed very pleased. Won't be too long before I go back to give it a go.
Amazing pub, very welcoming staff. Allows kids to run around, best family friendly run pub in crowland. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Had a Father's day family Sunday lunch . Service was excellent and the Sunday Roast was very delicious. The best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. The staff are very welcoming. Looking forward to another roast very soon.
Warm, welcoming and friendly. A great place for a few drinks in a relaxed well kept environment. Food is amazing and always freshly cooked to order, you won’t leave hungry or without a smile and good value too! I’ve been here many times, from the beer to the decor to the service and the atmosphere, can’t fault it. Thank you to the team at Ye Olde Abbey, Crowland for such a lovely meal served to us tonight. See you all again soon
Fabulous Sunday Lunch! We visited several times with friends and on family occasions. Always good service - laid back style - fabulous lunch with lots of freshly cooked meat, Yorkshire pudding crisp and dry and enormous, beautifully cooked extra veg huge variety. A lovely lunch. We went recently after a busy Sunday cooking for our local Fun Run from 8-1.30. Very tired so looking forward to our Sunday lunch here. My order a blush rose dry please arrived and looked too pink to be dry as I like it and as I recall my last glass here. I sipped and sure enough too sweet for me. Returning the drink to the bar was reassured this was the usual dry rose. But after saying I could not drink it due to being too sweet was asked what I'd like instead. I asked for Chardonnay. Some time later the lady came and said the manager could not replace the drink as I had tasted it!!!!? How would I know it was too sweet without tasting??? We were told we had to pay for the drink. We sat a while and decided we could not continue with our lunch booking with this attitude. My husband went to the bar and paid the bill expressing we would not want lunch. The lady seemed shocked. We left and went elsewhere. We had made enquiries to bring a party of 20 from our ladies club. This will now not go ahead. So disappointing! A glass of wine causes the loss of a minimum of 22 lunches. Good business???
Nice place the decor is very pleasant. The staff are friendly and the food excellent. We had a two courses lunch fantastic puddings, huge portions two beers, one soft drink and a coffee for just over £30. We will be going back!
