I have to say he is not a bad instructor but his reponses to messages are quite questionable. You could be waiting for days to get a reply and when so, it is pointless. In terms of driving lessons he is not flexible either. For those who don't know, there is not a driving centre in Bicester so the nearest ones are Oxford and Banbury. He's doesn't like going to those areas during the driving lessons, he only gives lessons in Bicester. What is the point of driving around Bicester if your test is going to be in Banbury?? Then, on the test date, you feel lost as you have not driven around the area before, which only adds on to the nerves you already have due to the test itself. Is this instructor helpful? Yes, he is. I have learn a bit with him but he doesn't let you do the maniouvers on your own. He will always tell you do this do that, but in the test he would never be there to tell you what to do. During my test, I was unable to do the bay parking on my own as I hadn't practiced it that much with him Overall I felt like I have wasted my money with him. I have found a new instructor that can drive me to Banbury and he is more professional. I don't regret leaving him at all. Hope this review helps.
Instructor was wonderful! He was patient but observant and kept on top of my mistakes. I passed my driving test the first time after lessons with him! I would highly recommend!
I past my test about 10 years ago thanks to Mr Yates very happy with how he explained every thing to me very pleasant experience and still hear good things about his driving school. Would definitely recommend.
