"A family friendly pub and restaurant for the whole community in Hamworthy.Located in the village of Hamworthy on the edge of Poole. A perfect example of a friendly, quality English village pub that we all know and love, we’re dog friendly with a large garden, roaring log fires, flagstone floors and oak beams, it’s cosy in the winter and glorious in the summer."

We popped in for an impromptued pint on the way home from a walk in the park and saw the offer and well that was dinner sorted! What a fantastic piece of steak Saturday night is Steak night was perfectly cooked and rested. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend
Lovely pub with huge outdoor space and a playground for kids. Amazing chicken and cauliflower wings and a good steak cook to order. Good selection of beers according to my other half and I cannot complain about wines : Lovely decor inside and atmosphere.
What a charming place...so much character and bar tender was excellent. Very warm place to visit, very nice food and drink.
Visiting the area for the weekend and visited everyday over the weekend for a quick drink, although I thought I'd try for Sunday lunch as the reviews were really good and i could bring my 2 cockapoos. I work in the trade and have maybe 2 Sundays off a year so was really looking forward to a fresh roast!. Firstly the options are very limited. Beef or nut roast....the food looked great when I received it. Halfway through I queried that I only got 2 florets or brocoli as the veg? I was told it should've come with a separate side of veggies....these eventually arrived after I'd finished the rest of the meal. I got 1 nice slice of medium beef, melted in my mouth, amazing, but the 2nd half slice slither was 70% rind from the top of the joint.my dogs enjoyed that bit. The menu, and reviews all state about unlimited Yorkshire puddings....not today....1 each and thats its due to their bookings they had coming in. I was a 12pm booking, and they knew how many bookings they had, so why not just make more at the start of the day? To summarise, what i received was OK, but would not dine here again due to massively falling shortnof expectations.
Lovely meal at this dog friendly pub. Ordering at the table via an app is great. We had a fish n chips and a bacon cheeseburger, both were cook well and hot. Then both of us had the sticky toffee pudding which is always a winner at a Hall and Woodhouse pub. Thank you Olly
Nice Sunday roast, service was really slow and we appeared to be forgotten about in the corner booth!
Went to a wedding doo yesterday and the hot buffet was amazing and the best I have ever had. Lovely young man checking all was OK and and the chefs worked very hard including the team bringing out the food. Very impressed.
I came for the beer but also enjoyed the food. The service was really good, if at times a little slower than expected. Dana was extremely helpful to a family asking more than usual. My flat iron steak was cooked exactly as requested and one unusual request for yogurt to go with an unexpectedly spicy chilli con carne for our 12 year old was dealt with wonderfully. Very happy customers, disappointed by the lack of pie night this week though. Definitely worth a visit for a pint or a meal!
The young staff were amazing but the chain should be ashamed for leaving two young staff to run the place. Food was very below average. Mostly microwaved. Used to be a lovely pub to visit.
One star because I have too. Holiday Sunday Roast Dinner. Don’t bother. Overpriced. Small portion of stringy beef, flat microwaved Yorkshire pudding, couple of roasties and a variety of tasteless veg. No lemonade they had ran out, so no pimms or pink gin or shandy. Our was Wine served in a gin glass because they ran out of wine glasses as well… I kid you not!!! This pub has potential to be a gold mine with the pub layout and garden, instead it’s a train wreck of a pub. Avoid. You have been warned. Not sure what’s gone wrong as some of the older reviews are good.. shame!!!
