We are new to the area and needed a cab urgently. Polegate Taxi's were so helpful with the booking and the car arrived promptly. To be honest the whole experience was a breath of fresh air. My 11 year old daughter said she would gladly go in their cars when we need to her to do the odd school run. As for my wife and I, we have their number saved in our phone for future use. Well done Polegate Taxi's you are a credit to the industry!

I have to say that I never write reviews but in this instance I felt I had to. Me and my friends booked four taxis journeys for over the bank holiday weekend for our friends wedding weekend. Although we had three journeys with this company and even the same driver for two of them. Our last taxi we had pre-booked for Sunday night never turned up. Earlier that same afternoon our driver had stated that he would be coming to get us that night and we were assured that we could ring up at 8pm that night to reschedule our pre-scheduled time of 9pm if needed. When we did- we rang several times and the line went straight to voicemail. We left a few voicemail's asking for them to contact us to confirm our taxi time. Yet at 9pm no taxi arrived , we continuously checked over the next half an hour- but nothing. We hoped they had just rescheduled our time for 11pm- yet kept ringing throughout the evening, but only got a voicemail and no call back. By 11pm no taxi had still arrived and still no answer or call back. This taxi service left four women stranded! No other taxi service was able to get us that late notice, and due to us being out of area. We were so lucky that the manager at our hotel- actually came to pick us up! when we called the hotel for advice- as we had no way of getting back. We were lucky that things ended up okay - thanks to our hotel manager. But I was really outraged at this service. For others- It would be a risk pre-booking these taxi's for events like weddings.

I would like to say as the proprietor of this small taxi company, the reviews I have just read have obviously been mistaken for another taxi company or another independent taxi driver. We at Polegate Taxis would not take a booking on that we could not fulfil, the majority of our weekend work involves wedding events in rural locations and we understand how distressing this would be to book a taxi and for it not to turn up. In fact we go above and beyond our expectations to make sure that people are not stranded. We give our customers an extremely good service with most of our bookings coming from recommendations. I have checked previous booking over the last few weeks and this booking was not made through us. I can only presume another company has let this person down or it is a discruntled taxi driver that is over charging and is lacking in work. But I would like to reassure anyone that books a taxi with Polegate Taxis you would never be left stranded we are not even late for our taxi bookings let alone not turn up. Many thanks Paulette

Absolutely awful!! DO NOT USE !! never turned up had booked in the afternoon so we knew would have a taxi. Left 3 young women stranded at midnight! Phone wouldn't ring so no way to contact says 24/7 !! Rubbish.
