This place was absolutely brilliant. Couldn't get seated upstairs so went downstairs and so glad we did as they had a live singer on who was absolutely fantastic. Drinks were great as well. Really cool place, will definitely be back.
Great gem of a place, hard to find but worth it. Great venue, decor and vibe is cool and unique. The staff were very friendly and efficient, really good choice of drinks and cocktails. Can't remember the names of the the ones we had but they were very tasty indeed, along with some st mungos beer. Had a really cool outdoor section with heaters and smart booths, really handy for smokers like me and can still enjoy the venues vibe. Fair prices as well a good staff makes it a must visit
Visited Wunderbar Sat 1st March and had table booked for a few hours as a group. Downstairs on a Sat afternoon it was busy but still easy to get served at the bar and space to dance etc, bar staff all very friendly and served quickly, seen a lot of negative reviews on bouncers, but we did not experience this, the staff definitely work hard in here as very very busy. We left at 9pm as getting too busy and to the point of not being able to move. Definitely more a young venue but ok for older folk afternoon time for live music and a wee dance,
Bouncers are horrible. I arrived at 8pm with 3 of my friends, and we were denied entry. We didn’t have a single ounce of alcohol and they claimed we were ‘drunk’. Would not recommend this.
I like what they've done with the place which used to be Bread and Butter and was quite run down. Now it's lively and nice, with high tables and stools, other lower tables, big bar, some tables outside too. Good cocktails! They have a wide range of beers and some cocktails on tap for only 7.50 which is great, including an Espresso Martini, very tasty. Live music on a Friday night was a bit too loud for us.
