Brilliant experience at Carrigans in East Kilbride. First time I have visited as we normally go to the Hamilton or Blantyre restaurant. Staff very friendly and polite, food came very fast and the quality and quantity of food was outstanding as usual!
Really tasty food and portions are quite big.nWe had sweet and sour chicken and steak pie.nThen sticky toffee puddingnNice atmosphere and felt quite cosy as well
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and has been a favourite for a long time, until one day, we were there and it was quite busy. We accepted that the food would take a while because of how busy it was, and I usually got macaroni or chicken strips, but when I cut open the chicken strips, the inside was tainted pink. We alerted the staff about this, and got a refund. Although it has made me only order macaroni from now on, only on rare occasions I got there now.
Edit to previous review.nWe went back for lunch today and the experience was back to the usual brilliant service. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was out of this world. Quick service as well.nSo glad we went back and we will be back as usual.nnWe eat in here once a month and never had an issue. Last night changed that. We waited quite a while to be served when it wasn't busy. The staff are normally very nice and attentive but they seemed miserable, like they didn't want to be there.nThe cutlery was being polished at the entrance to the kitchen and the noise was horrific. There is no need to polish the cutlery near your customers. The food was great and the portions were spot on.nWe will be back again to give them another chance. Not sure if management has changed which is why things weren't up to the usual standard. Hopefully our experience was a one off.nI would still recommend people to visit as the food is great and very good value for money.
Great menu with plenty of choices, food is always excellent every time I have been, portions are generous. Staff are very helpful, went out of their way to accommodate my sons dairy intolerance Would recommend it for a family meal for all generations.
