I took a day off work today and they cancelled my engineers visit at 11.53am by voicemail. That’s 7 minutes before the engineer was due to arrive.
When I complained, the lady on the phone was entirely unsympathetic and quite harsh on the phone. I can’t say she was rude, but somehow made me feel like it was my fault for not have back up heating in the house.
I understand this lady has probably been getting grief all day of customers because they’re letting a lot of people down and it’s -7 tonight, I know it’s not easy when things go wrong at work,  but I feel the lady on the phone took her bad day out on me, and I’m the one with a 4 year old daughter in a house with no heating and no hot water in minus 7.
When I told the lady this was unacceptable, she said quite abruptly, fine, I’m cancelling your order so you can go back to your manufacturer and they can find you someone else.  

It’s really not very good is it?
