The Centre has two swimming pools, a sports hall, which enables a wide variety of sports and activities, a newly equipped gym, studio, spinning room and three squash courts providing endless opportunities for all your leisure needs.

There are many activities on offer including our popular Exercise to Music programme, badminton, gymnastics, football and much, much more.

Our extensive programme of activities ensures that there is something for everyone regardless of age or fitness level.

"Workington Leisure Centre, located in the west coast of Cumbria is a state of the art facility that opened in September 2016. The Centre has a 90 station gym with Technogym equipment, a superb 25m pool, a training pool, a fantastic sports hall, 2 squash courts, sauna and steam room, outdoor 3G football pitches and two multi purpose studios with a range of fitness classes including Yoga, Power Pump, Total Body Conditioning, Extreme Interval Fitness, Group cycle, Aerobics, Core Stability, Circuits and Boxfit.Membership is available from just £32.00 per month with no contract, which includes unlimited access to the gym, pool and fitness classes or you can simply pay as you play!"

First time visiting, training pool is great for children. Perfect for our kids 5 and 3. Really clean pool and changing area, friendly receptionist. Free parking when you input your the number while using the facilities although we didn’t know this and paid!

I went with my friends for one of there free swims, we came in and the staff were quite rude while we were swimming me and my friend decided to jump in the pool; one of the life guards told us off we were at the deep part of the pool the lady then said to me "NO JUMPING IN THE POOL YOU HAVE JUST HEARD ME TELL THE BOYS OFF SO WHY ARE YOU DOING IT" I told her I couldn't hear her I have a disability involving my ears "she then told me that I could hear her even though I couldn't although apart from the staff I had a great time with my friends and I would definitely will not come back.

Badminton facilities great and the children love the family swimming sessions with the floats. However the lifeguards leave the external door open, cooling the pool air and this decision seems insensitive to the swimmers. This is the case every time we visit …freezing over here :

What a total disappointment this pool is! 1 hour of public swimming available in 1 day + school holidays too! Limited places obviously as pool is small . Little kids pool is absolutely freezing not comfortable at all for babies + toddlers who can't swim as they can't move fast to keep themselves warm. You have to keep on the move or babies teeth  are chattering.

Recently dealt with a manager called Hannah and received a really appalling level of customer service. Went to the Cockermouth gym and they were a completely different, resolved all my issues and were excellent in assisting me.

Fantastic facility for Workington. Nice pool, big gym and sports halls. There are lots of classes run there too. Only negative is gym change gets a bit too warm.

10/10. Full size pool is superb. Nice staff. Nice & clean

Been to get my grandaughter a junior member and both receptionists very helpful and lovely.

Excellent sports hall, clean & bright with very good lighting

Great facilities great staff and overall a very nice gym but not someplace you would go if you plan on strength training, the weights seem like an after thought. the weights room is way too small and there's just not that much equipment disappointed to be honest because there's clearly a demand for it. If you're wanting to train cardio then this place will be perfect for you.
