My wife and I had lunch and it was good. The food was all fresh and there was plenty great value for money.nMy wife had a beef sandwich and I had a salad. Both dishes were good. My salad was one of the best I have had.nA great selection of cask beers of which I sampled a few, as it would have been rude not to. All were very good, too good really .nThe staff are friendly and helpfull.nnWould I return and recommend. Definitley.nnIf you like my honest review please follow me, as I review on a regular basis.
Popped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, having stopped by for a pint the week previous.nnYou can tell straight away that the Woolly Sheep has had a lot of high end, refurbishment, and it compliments the building and surroundings exceptionally.nnService is brisk and friendly, and the food menu offers variety without being overpriced.nnBoth sets of starters and mains were very enjoyable, presented well, and the exact right amount of food.nnA definite recommendation for anyone in and around Skipton
I was looking for a 'proper pub' for a family meal cross 3 generations and came across The Woolly Sheep via a Google search.nIt rated highly, with lots of reviews so we opted for it as the location for the get together.nWe spent 3 hours in the pub, the service was spot on, the beer was great and the food exceeded expectations.nGreat time had by all and we will be returning soon.
Please note I didn't stay there I just had a meal and drinks in there. The inn is very welcoming it is clean and tidy with friendly staff. We had already booked a table so we know we weren't going to be placed outside. We ordered from the menu 2 Denver steaks and a bottle of white wine. Or steaks and were absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection 1 med , 1 med well they tasted amazing and melted in the mouth. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo to show. And the completely empty plate at the end was proof.nSo I definitely recommend this place to stop off and eat.
Comfortable room well furnished, reasonably quiet considering it's above a pub and our room was facing the town centre. Excellent breakfast but it finished at 9.30am. OK for early risers but not after a late night, ample free private parking at the rear access through a barrier. The only slight problem was many staircases best to travel light if you stay here. Or if you struggle with stairs.
