Large straight beach. There are picnic benches up by the bar. Also a bottle bank. Full of shells and some nice stones. And it is very very peaceful. Love it.
Great place to chill out and have a swim, especially in the evening. Sandy beach and Great for kids as there's no shops or distractions
Was lovely only for tide was very far out and tide wadnt coming in till 10 pm .long wait for some water .but saying that it was nice to walk out to the sea. Had an enjoyable day
This is a very nice long stretch of sandy beach. On a sunny clear day, you can see land on the opposite side. This is an ideal location for a walk with dogs and also good location for families with children to play. It is located at a short distance from Waterford City.
The beach is ok. The sand is clean, but the shore is a bit polluted. No proper parking aswell, so cars are just straight on the road next to the entrance.
When I went to this beach the sand was beautiful not a lot of stone but the tide was far out until later in the day the beach is fairly long at the left end of the beach there is a seating area and a coffee soft drink and ice cream shack I would call it, there is also a lot of seaweed when the tide is in or out
One of the nicest beaches in Waterford for a walk. No stones as it's on the river rather than on the sea, this also means there are no waves so it's a great spot to introduce kids to the sea swimming. Only problem is that it's very shallow so when the tide is out it's a long walk to get to the water. Very popular for dog walking and people exercise their horses here as well. There is a pub called the Saratoga about halfway along the beach where you can get decent grub and a pint
This is my favourite place in Ireland
One of my favourite spots, very peaceful
