This was a great experience. The zoo is smaller but had so much to offer, including my first lemur experience. For extra, you can feed the penguins and have other more hands on experiences. There's a nice playground for the kids and a covered area with picnic tables where you can eat. Packed lunches are allowed, but they also sell burgers and hot dogs and have a cafe with coffee, tea, and pastries.
My 2 kids 6+8 loved it here. Not a massive place but its a nice day out. Walking around with the lemurs running free was the best part. Would really recommend here, very reasonably priced.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
It doesn't promise much from the outside but it's surprisingly full of interesting animals and there's an awful lot to see. The wolves are fantastic! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and obviously caring. Nice little gift shop, loads of picnic opportunities and a great little café. Good value for money.
I want to start by saying that the staff where lovely. Had a drink and something small to eat in the cafe and that was really nice and priced well. However... On arrival it wasn't too clear where to go which was the same throughout the full park. It wasn't signed very well and alot of time I wasn't sure if I was able to enter the area or not. Some enclosures -mainly the penguins- were really dirty. If one went into the water it couldn't be seen. Another issue with some enclosures where that they seemed quite small for the animals they where housing. It was nice to see all the animals up close and was a nice day.
We visited on a Friday, had never heard of Woodside before and it was only just over half an hour away. The park is very tidy and clean, the tea room is quite expensive but very nice quality. We watched a keeper talk about the meerkats which was very informative. Animals to see included Tigers, Wolves, red pandas and small monkeys. The Amazon indoor conservatory was spectacular and included Bats and various Butterflies. The best attractions by far were the Penguins and the Lemurs, you could sit with the lemurs in an enclosure which was amazing. Cost £15 for an adult lovey place to visit.
Cafe was quick and decently priced. The animal feeding shedule was great as we could plan our visit around and get the most out of it. Definitely a good zoo.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
A lovely little zoo...which can be explored within good time...leaving time to relax for the rest of the day!! They have parking, toilets and a cafe...the barn show was good too....quite small so not much else to say....its not a whole day out but its still worth going to at least once.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
We've been coming to Woodside many times over the years, but this was our first trip back since covid. Well wow, they're expanding so so we'll. Carefully and tastefully... Loads to do and see and is a full day out. Will 100% be back very very soon. P.s. the wolves are amazing at feeding time
A really great wildlife park. On the smaller side as these places go so perfect for a couple of hours, longer if you have a bite in the onsite cafe. They also have a decent souvenir shop.
Great family day as it should be. Good selection of animals and life there. Went on a hot day...scorched !not a huge restaurant but big area out side. My little one of 6 loved the meer cats but especially the penguins. Go pre lunchtime so you can get the feeding times all done. Best bit of the day and lots of info about the animals given by the keepers at this point.
