I have been a patient here for several years, mainly maintenance as I get older but paid for by a regular scheme with Denplan. I am usually happy with the care and treatment I receive, the surgery is clean and well maintained and the staff obliging and friendly while maintaining an air of professional competence. This latest checkup was not quite what I expected, perhaps I was expecting too much! I made an appointment and was given a new practitioners name, which I noted. When I arrived for my appointment the reception staff were disinterested, other staff in the building didn’t make any eye contact, they rushed up and down the stairs at speed. The downstairs loo was out of order , stairs are difficult as I am disabled. And there are weeds growing out front on the steps and entry ramp! The pleasant young dentist I saw was not the person I expected and his inspection, while adequate was not what I would call thorough. I am used to being quizzed on my dental habits and advised to brush this or that bit with more attention! The dentist today simply said to keep up the good work and to call the surgery if I had any problems! Perhaps I was just being treated as an older person, whose teeth no longer merited much attention. Perhaps I should have been satisfied that the diagnosis was ‘no work needed, come back in six months’ Perhaps as the firm styles itself an orthodontics specialist, there is no longer interest in just the ‘basics’ But I can’t help thinking that Woods is missing a trick here in their attention to detail ! Eye contact even at 9 am costs nothing, and reassures. Weeds can be removed. Telling a patient their practitioner has changed is simple courtesy. Ground floor facilities need to be scrupulously maintained, for those of who need them. A check-up should be just that, extensive verbal questioning, as well as poking with a sharp instrument! Maybe I am being overly picky but somehow I expected more and I was a little disappointed!

The practice is immaculate, very modern and the staff are all extremely efficient and helpful. Nick is my dentist and he is brilliant... he's always happy and bubbly and puts you at ease. He's cute too!!!! The booking systems are easy and simple to use and the reminders are always prompt and informative. All in all I can't recommend this dentist enough.

I always receive a friendly professional service from both the reception staff and the dental professionals working here. I had been a patient with R.S Johns & Partners at 'Westbury Dental Practice' from childhood and always had 1st class service. Since Mr Johns retirement some years ago, the Woods brothers have taken over the practice as 'Woods Dental'. They carried out a fully modernised refurbishment, to a very high standard, and the service I have continued to receive to this day, is still second to none.

I was given a prompt emergency appointment and seen quickly once in the surgery. Richard gave the problem area a thorough examination to make a diagnosis, including an x-ray. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The surgery is comfortable, contemporary and calming.

Have been back for my usual 6 month check. Excellent service as ever Plus information l have never had from previous dentist. Thank you Nick and all again. Happy Christmas Regards Me I was impressed before the change at this surgery with all the staff and dental practitioners But I suppose like many you think you are having the best experience? until you try something new. Well new has been the best ever from a team front and most of all back (the teeth mechanics) for the level of service I have had and having for my teeth that were left way to long ago to rot by me to think they would be worth saving or not Thank you ALL To quality service
