I have visited here regularly over the years, amazing coffees and hot chocolates. I have also tried the pizzas a couple of times now and they’re great, also kept simple by the fact you can order either a margarita or pepperoni, the topping of rocket and balsamic add more than enough flavour. Staff friendly and welcoming, some of them seem to have been around since the start which is always a good sign.
Good coffee. Had to queue for a long time outside. Makes coffee with different milks. Also has choices for pets and children. Close to the priory and the beachfront. Not any good parking available. Right on the high street. Friendly staff but busy! Possible to have takeaway or sit inside.Food: 5/5
Nice little coffee shop in Tynemouth that offer everything a coffee a does to light meals and breakfast. Nice modern decor inside and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Couple of negatives, they sat me on a bench / Side table at the window and was litterlly squeezed in among other customers, and secondly staff serving behind counter seem to be on go slow mode when serving.
Coffee and cake’s with family and grand daughter Really nice coffee and a great selection of cakes and savoury light bite’s Liked the rustic but smart decor and position looking out to Tynemouth Abbey and Gibraltar rock. Great people and car watching spot Plenty of tables outside too for Alfresco customers Staff attentive and helpful Perfect after a visit to the Tynemouth market
Very busy cafe. Staff a bit lacklustre could do with another gear. Cappuccinos were fine. Can I suggest that you ask the client first if they require their scones to be overheated in a microwave. Fruit scone disintegrated as soon as the wooden knife cut into it. The rest of the disintegration continued whilst the butter, jam, and clotted cream was being spread. All I was left with was a crumbling mess.
We previously liked visiting this coffee bar but now it seems if there's only 2 of you, you have to sit at the tightly packed row of tables, rubbing elbows & swapping viruses, even when there's several other more comfortable seats available which have to be kept on the off-chance that a group of 4 come in so we were told. Both times we visited recently those tables were vacant the entire time. Sadly we will be looking to take our loyalty elsewhere!!
Coffee addict pov. Probably one of the best cups of coffee in the North East, yes really : Their prices are a bit high, but the quality makes up for it. Met the owner once, really nice lady and she supports mental health, which is always nice : Parking: Parking is literally right outside. Council run and there are ALWAYS traffic wardens. Can pay via the app 'RingGo' in less than 30 seconds. But only up to 2 hours per stay. Wheelchair accessibility: The shop is ground floor based and there's normally a staff member stood by the dining area / front door, to help get you seated. The shop are has loads of space and I'm sure you could get a wheelchair around the seating area.
Group of 5 seniors asked politely if we could sit at the round window seat. Declined as keeping it for a big party. Asked if the big party was booked, no but we still keeping it. The offered options were a high table or share a long table. Fine for Cafe to prioritise it's seating but we won't be coming back. Noone actually used the table in the hour we were there and we moved cafe for our lunch.
Perfect hot chocolate and great coffee. Location is just perfect it's a corner store with plenty of parking. Across the shop, you have an amazing view of the water and the castle ruin. Parking: Street parking
Hardly dare say this but this restaurant required paws outside. Given that Tynemouth is otherwise so dog friendly this was, for us, a plus. Food and coffee was high quality and service was attentive.Food: 5/5
