Story

Our seafood restaurant in the beautiful village of Tynemouth serves Shetland mussels, grilled lobster, shucked oysters, monkfish & prawn curry, roast turbot as well as classic fish and chips. Our menu changes daily and is designed around what’s been caught that day by the local fisherman.

As well as the seafood restaurant, we have a takeaway serving fish and chips, tiger prawns & seafood burgers with ‘LFK’ sauce, the Longsands banger and much more. We don’t use beef dripping in our oil, so our fried food is also suitable for vegetarians.

Really nice quality food, quite expensive for what it is but I guess you are paying for location as well. Very good vegetarian and vegan options, even vegan gravy. Took quite a long time to get served. Very generous portion of halloumi and very tasty :

Great to be able to try it as it’s open on Tuesday! Tried the cod with prawns and chips; it’s all well cooked, great batter, fresh and non oily. The curry sauce is a must try and highly recommended to try their food when you around Tynemouth area.

Lovely fish and chips,good service,lemon made ALL the difference,staff on top of  masks and distancing,cannot fault it,my new goto.

Food is brilliant staff are brilliant also, I can't wait for the restrant to re open after lockdown so I can enjoy more of there larger menu, food is of excellent quality and cooked to perfection

Lovely fresh fish and chips and not too greasy. Great selection of homemade sauces and accompaniments.  Safety procedures very good as well.

Great food, worth a visit! Everything is tasty and fresh. I don't like fish so that tastes horrible everywhere but my family's seem to like it at Longsands.

I've tried more than a few and this is my favourite fish and chip shop in the area. High quality ingredients cooked to perfection by a friendly and professional team. The astonishingly reliable and punctual Click & Collect service is very much appreciated during the Covid-19 pandemic. Highly recommended.

Been here a couple of times and the quality has been consistently good. The fish is fresh and cooked to order, and there are a couple of decent vegetarian/vegan options, too. They also do a good job of enforcing social distancing, mask wearing etc.
