A lovely family friendly pub/restaurant, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Disabled friendly . The prices suit everyone's budget and excellent sized portions which are all fresh and made in house. Once eaten here you will return as the standards are so much higher than the price suggests.. Quiz nights, steak nights , plenty of parking an all round delightful experience. The general manager was extremely friendly, helpful and a lovely guy to boot. All staff genuinely seem happy and are willing to go that extra mile for your dining experience. Really can't find any negatives in this establishment a must visit for all from single dining to family lunch/evening meal.. Extremely impressed and thoroughly looking forward to our next visit..
Went as a group booking of 8 and we all chose the Sunday roast dinner option. One vegan, one child, three duos and 3 beef. The menu said gravy on the side but it turned up on our plates and not one of us enjoyed the parsnips or potatoes. They tasted frozen then left in a hot hold until served. The meat was delicious though. Very disappointing as the food on the main menu is great. Prawn cocktails starter was great, rhubarb tart, chocolate brownie sundae, Eton mess and Belgian waffles were all delicious. Avoid the roast!
Good atmosphere. And the food was cooked well but I had to say 3 stars as all the food tasted as if it was all cooked from frozen. The prawns in the cocktail have no taste. The chicken had little taste. The steak much the same. Only the cauliflower cheese and other extra items had the flavor that could be expected. Would I go back? Yes. Although a bit bland the food was well presented and at good prices.
Lovely pub with open fire, comfortable seating and car park. Friendly welcoming staff. A variety of delicious food that can be ordered at the bar or on an App.
Delicious Sunday lunch, great quality of meat, lovely seasonal veg and great portions. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the trio of meats, my partner had the Turkey and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Looking forward to eating here again.
After ordering a Sunday Roast to be delivered, we were blown away by the quality, amount and taste of the food received. we said straight away that we must go to the pub and eat in. We didn't book in advance but recommend you do so as it was fully booked. The staff were amazing, asked us how long did we think we needed, 1 hour was perfect, and they found us a table. we had a main course, Just wow, i really was blown away by the standard of everything, it really was just perfect. Thank you so much. We will back for sure. 100% Recommended.
Lovely pub meal, I ordered the gammon and it was cooked beautifully very happy and full when finished. You pay for what you get so even though it is a little more it's worth it. Really nice, polite staff work here. It was lovely and warm inside with a great atmosphere which was great for a first visit. I will definitely be back.
Went went on Sunday and it was terrible. We waited quite a while for our starters that were really nice. Some time after we receive our mains, 4 roast Turkey the amount of Turkey amounted to about 3 1/2 slices between all the plates no stuffing, no pigs in blankets dessert spoonful of veg. We asked where the rest of it was and was told extremely rudely that they had run out! The service was disgusting the young blonde waitress was so rude. Would never go there again or recommend it does not even deserve 1 star
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Beer well kept. We enjoyed our meals however two friends weren't happy as steaks were medium rare as opposed to well done. Also we were a bit disappointed when ordering pudding to learn the kitchen closed at 9. I don't think we realised we'd been there that long. However we were given a round of drinks as an apology. I would be happy to go there again and happy to recommend it. Thanks for reply. It's not really a problem. Human error we all have those moments. Overall everything was good. The l landlady? Delt with our friends courteously, professionally and in a friendly manner. I think how well it was dealt with shows a lot more in how well it is run when things don't quite go to plan. I think you have a good team there.
Table of 4 . We all opted for Sunday roast beef , 3 opted for the Apple pie and custard whilst the other had Berry mess. Absolutely service from the bar and the staff serving our meals . The meals were lovely and plentiful. Thank you we will be back and we will spread the word .
