Great impromptu Sunday lunch here. Very accommodating staff that squeezed the two of us in without a reservation on a very busy lunchtime service. The trio of meats and veggie nut roast were both excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Will go back.
We turned up here without booking and they fitted us in no problem. I am a vegetarian and the choice here was great! We ordered the vegetarian roasted tart and the gammon egg and chips. Food arrived after a little wait, cooked fresh and was served very hot. Very good price for food as well as drinks. We will definitely return. Thanks!

Snuggled in Woodmancote this pub has a great kitchen team offering fab food. The management are visible, friendly and professional and have lots of events throughout the year, especially Christmas . I have visited with a friend for lunch and enjoyed delicious sandwiches in the bar, with my partner for quiet lunches without the kids and with the whole family. Menu is not small but concise, offering smaller plates for children and smaller appetites. Food is plentiful, tasty and well presented. On all occasions all dishes have been enjoyed. Good range of drinks, bar snacks and homemade cakes. Good value. Would &do recommend!
Nice atmosphere, good location, ok service, but sadly let down by the need for a fly swat as they have a major fly problem indoors with us having to constantly wave flies off our food and out of our faces. Sadly my partners beef roast was a bit killed charred on the edges and inedible, and the extra gravy we requested never appeared. Probably will return to give them another go though. Update: beef was exactly the same and charred and dead again but less of it, the gravy was very lumpy and the yorkshires and potatoes were horrible too, what was worse when the cook came out to discuss our concerns, they were very argumentative and my partner was shouted at and made to feel very uncomfortable. We won't be returning. They did however not charge for 2 of the roasts. Further Update: we were NOT rude at any time to your servers who asked us if everything was ok and we politely said it was not, my partner said it was one of the worst roasts she had ever had but didn't want to make a fuss. You then came over on the attack rather than saying sorry we weren't happy what can you do to help. Yes I ate all mine, after a 30 min wait, I was hungry nor was I expecting mine to be free but thanks anyway. However, my partners lad also left nearly all of his as he didn't like it either. I didn't bother to take photos this time as it was just the same as before and we were made to feel so uncomfortable we just wanted out of there. Like I said we won't be back, not only due to your food but also your and I mean you not your servers terrible customer service.
A big thank you to Julie & all the staff who helped make my Husband's surprise 60th birthday lunch so special. All of the family could not fault the staff, service, food & atmosphere. Staff were friendly, helpful & very attentive. The food roast dinners looked and tasted amazing. I was to full for a dessert!! Thank you so much for making his special birthday, such a happy & memorable day. It was perfect. WE WILL BE BACK
After previously coming here with friends I took my daughter today for lunch on her birthday and we had a lovely meal of fish and chips followed by lemon cheesecake. Once again the food was so good, such excellent quality and value, and I couldn't fault the service and atmosphere. I would heartily recommend it to anyone - indeed I already have - and will definitely be coming again .... and again.... and .......
Good service, nice environment and good food at a price that won't break the bank. My only gripe was with the choice of beer: there were two on tap but both were bitters. It's a good job I like bitter but some drinkers would have been disappointed. I expect this isn't always the case so would highly recommend for a meal.
We've been here many times, taken friends and walked the dog across the fields. It's always excellent, tasty food, friendly staff and good value. They love dogs too!.
Lovely pub-like setting out in the country. Very friendly staff and some superb food. Just had one of the best roast pork dishes I've ever had!
