Lived in Dewsbury/Batley my whole life and never new this pub existed, glad I found it Tetley's is 10/10 and is a proper cosy pub.
I don't know why Google has asked me to review this Pub when I am a Muslim and never stepped foot inside it. :. I only went to visit a house opposite the pub so have no idea what the pints taste like. Didn't see anyone go in or outside the pub. The street seemed fairly quiet at the time so looks like a friendly place as didn't see any brawls which is a good sign. :
Went here to watch a football match. Sat in the games room, it was nice and had a good atmosphere. The drinks were cheaper than our local. Tetley's on auto vac to boot.Service: 5/5
The quiz is good went with my dad and there is lovely people in the the land lady is lovely and they have really nice red wine too. If people are too noise when the quiz question are going she asks them nicely to respect others. Social distance is also good as well clean toilet. Lovely log burnes as well for winter.
Too much to say. Great selection of ales and beers. Different areas to be, sports lounge at the top, big tvs pool darts and bandit, Good area for the lads. Bottom section more relaxed with snugg areas for privicy. Karaoke for sing along. In winter its cosy with log fire's to cuddle up too. Out side is buzzing lots of seats shelter also. The bar lady is lovely and welcoming. Off the main road but what a gem. Call in and you will return.
An excellent retirement do last night 13/3/2020. Staff brilliant, food provided fantastic. A very friendly establishment. I had my leaving do there 13 years ago, exactly the same. Keep doing what you're doing, the formula works. Cheers
How nice to go back in to a proper Public House! The cask beer was 100% first class. Will be back!Service: 4/5
lovely little old fashioned pub. Landlord and landlady are absolutely lovely, my 5 year old loves John and regularly asks to go see him which suits me just fine lol. I go out of my way to go this place and past many other puns. My favourite pub around
The Woodman Inn is near my house..so I am resident. I’ve never been in the pub myself so I can’t comment on that. I have two issues When it is busy there is loads of noise and disturbs everyone especially the kids! The second issue is taxi drivers they just don’t know how to park. If the pub can tell them to park in the car park and not on the main road. At peak time it is a real headache.
It's not lost its character like many other public houses. Great landlord and landlady. Friendly atmosphere. Worth a visit
