Had an amazing 3 nights at Woodland lakes. Beautiful peaceful surroundings loads of personal space and privacy. Hot tubs are a great addition. We were blessed with gorgeous weather too. We had a 1 year old with us and 4 adults. Lots of lovely walks and scenery. The Watermill was very good and the cafe was handy. Most appreciated was the reception team, who could not have been more helpful, after our long journey. We had a small issue with an appliance which was attended to within 10 minutes. Fantastic visit and will definitely return. Many thanks to all.
My partner booked this place as a birthday gift, we stayed in the chestnut spa pet it was lovely and relaxing, everything on site, shop pub, fishing tackle shop, plenty of fishing lakes, the lodge was clean and nice inside had that outdoor woodland smell, very own private hot tub quite secluded in the corner of the site massive car park. We had a lovely weekend and can't wait to book again with the kids next time. Thank you
This was my 3rd cabin holiday and stayed for 7 nights. Overall the experience was great even though the hot tub jets were "weak" and a little noisy with park staff driving their golf cart around on the gravel outside our window. The view of the little lake was great and superb but noisy swimming pool for the kids. The parks location was ideal for us with York park and ride, cycling paths and abbey's within an 1hr drive!
Excellent set up 12 fishing lakes plus ornamental lakes as well . Cabins were excellent roomy well furnished and with a hot tub plus dog friendly ones available as well. Food at the restaurant was excellent with also the addition of a sports bar and cafe fishing tackle shop staff are all excellent as well 5 star . Granted it is set up with anglers in mind for mini breaks matches pleasure angling etc . But also ideal for family's with children or for a night out highly recommended for using as a base to explore York Thirsk and the North East. Easy access from the M1 as we travelled up from Lancashire highly recommended. Only criticism is that the pegs need replacing as there timber design and would certainly go for hard standing ones and a few of the lodges could do with a lick of paint but definitely would stay again no qualms. 5 out of 5 . Will also add I went for 3 day break with my family Playground: Was a well designed children's play area Restrooms: Excellent Dog-friendliness: More than welcome with your dog Picnic area: Very nice picnic area in fact was about 3 in total .
Lovely location is the best you can say about it. Pet friendly lodge was hardly fit for a dog. No mattress covers or pillow protectors and the most uncomfortable sofa I've ever sat on. Lodge had apparently been refurbished in 2021 but you wouldn't know it.
Lovely cabin, Great lodges and views. We stayed in the 6 person 3 room lodge, great amenities and a lovely hot tub! Great friendly staff at reception and came with our little Pomeranian puppy who got lots of attention! I would highly recommend it!!
Didn’t know these lodges existed, and what a great surprise! Clean, compact, great location and hot tub! The grounds and surrounding areas are keep clean, staff were friendly and very helpful. Had a massage which was great, thank you Beth! Limited internet service.
Lovely location handy for Thirsk where there's plenty of shops. I was apprehensive after reading several negative reviews however our caravan was modern, warm and clean. Yes the sofa was a little grubby snd the carpet had a few grubby marks but overall it was perfectly welcoming. There was no WiFi but this didn't bother us. The pool was quite cold although clean as were the changing facilities. The soft play was a hit with our daughter and the cafe does a decent coffee so we were happy too!
What An amazing place to recharge! I booked three nights to Woodland Lakes for my partners birthday with a hot tub, I absolutely cannot fault our stay, the place, lodges, hot tub were clean and the staff was lovely, great service ladies! We will definitely be back very soon!
Lodge was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Swimming pool cafe and watermill restaurant were clean and staff including reception staff polite and helpful. Easy traveling distance to Thirsk we walked Ripon market day Thursday and Northallerton market day Wednesday. Couple of pubs and Indian within walking distance. Ladies I definitely recommend the Olive Leaf Spa on-site. Facials and back massage amazing
