Great forest experience for the family. Nice walks to do of which we followed the superworm, Julia Donaldson kids story route this time. Fun activity trail with tasks to complete with the kids. There is a cafe selling the usual hot cold stuff and an information centre . Toilets on site. For the kids there are play parks a plenty. A nice pond to see the ducks and wildlife etc. Parking is available including disabled spots however this is chargeable £2 for 2 hours Cash or pay on a phone app. Lots to do worth a visit.
Lovely walk. The visitors center has disabled toilets available. Nice little cafe to stop at. Plenty of trails to follow depending on the level of intensity you are looking for. Plenty parking spaces and free for blue badge holders.
I had a wonderful day here walking the 'White' route, it was a fabulous place full of the noises of nature and people having fun walking, children playing and exploring. I loved the vintage train, the views over Rosebery topping, buzzards, siskin and robins in the trees. A place that everyone can enjoy, so so good. The cafe was almost closed when I got back but they let me buy a cold drink and snack for the journey home.
This place is excellent for kids. It's a small charge for parking. £1 per hour and you can pay with RingGo app. There is a lovely cafe, nice picnic area and an excellent park for the kids. It's also part of the forestry commission so there is the Zog trail for the kids to complete. You can either download the app and do it for free on your phone or pay £4 at the visitor centre and get the glasses and activity pack. Either way, it's a nice way to have a walk through the forest as a family. We had a lovely time here and will be back. Big 's up from me.
Just the most fab place to walk our dog in all seasons. She’s off the lead from start to finish. Amazing wildlife too including adders, herons and wild deer
Really nice child's park different grades of walks and rides, the cafe is good and a nice choice of food, ice cream drinks ect, toilets are a bonus and well looked after. When out walking or at the park please take your rubbish home or put it in the recycling bins at visiters centre.
Lovely day out with our little dog. Parking £2 for 2 hours £3 for 3 hrs £4 for the day. We only paid for 3hrs as we thought we would of had enough by then but could easily have stayed longer. Had a coffee and a bacon and a sausage bun. Also an extra sausage for the dog which they kindly provided already sliced. They both tasted great and the coffee was good too. Staff very helpful. The walks were great and good shading from the sun for the dog. Will be back soon.
Fab place, especially if you have kids, they will love it here, we've done the "superworm trail" and our little one loved it , and as a hmm small upside there is an ev charging point bp pulse but it was a little hit and miss, out off two ports one was working, and it's a slow charge.. 3kw, ow amd theres a lovely lottle coffe shop too

The views are amazing, and they have several colour coded trails for those want more of a challenge. You could spend a good few hours waking around it, and it'll be time well spent.
