Myself and the family had booked this little beauty of a restaurant some months back now. On entering the restaurant we were greeted with smiles and the warmth of a fire and seated to our table. We all ordered our drinks which came out promptly and then followed by the food order. The starters arrived followed by the mains and boy we certainly wasn’t disappointed, the food is fab, honestly the best Christmas Turkey Dinner I’ve ever had with all the trimmings some had the Cod and Chips and one had the Salmon. All the food was excellent. For dessert only 4 of us could manage anything as they were full up from the starters and mains. The staff were all amazing and the Restaurant was very clean and homely, we were all very comfortable. The service was superb considering it was fully booked. We will all be returning in the New Year and can’t wait. Thanks Everyone for all your hard word, well done we all had an absolute amazing time and the food was excellent.
We went here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and it was great! Loved the atmosphere and the food was very good. I got the Fender Sampler which had just about everything on the menu. Don't worry, I didn't eat it all and it was more than enough to share around.
2nd time there, and it was great both times. I had the steak and kidney pudding see pics, before and during!. Great location, food, and service. I highly recommend going just for a meal, but the Sunday lunches are amazing.

Amazing service and wonderful food. We were a party of 7 and I couldn't fault any part of our meal. Good selection of real ales - I had the steak and kidney pudding which was delicious, packed with tasty meat, but there is a good menu with lots of choice. Do book - The pub was very busy when we went for Sunday lunch. I can see why.
Had a good lunch here. I had the steak and kidney pudding which was very good. It was very filling. Good selection of beers on draught which were well kept. Service was good and the pub was dog friendly. Also catered well for gluten free options with a separate menu.

Visited with a big family reservation for a birthday . Service was friendly, food came out quick and piping hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the Ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection . First time dining at this restaurant and will 100% be back . 5
Great country food pub! Staff are lovely and location stunning. Outside area for kids , loved the views and always have a nice meal. Good vegan and vegetarian choice too #vegan #countrypub
Took a sunday drive out for a random lunch and decided to swiftly pop in and see if Wooden Fender could accommodate us. We was met with a very warm welcome and although very busy they very kindly squeezed us in. The food was amazing along with the service and great atmosphere with no clicky feel that you can sometimes come across. I had the wild salmon and my partner had the roast beef. We will DEFINITELY be returning for more and highly recommend
