We were so excited to try the number one place on TripAdvisor but unfortunately we’re disappointed. The menu is typical English cafe and breakfast - the hash browns were fantastic and portion sizes generous. The chips could be better and could be less of them and more other things. The main disappointment for us was the service. We were served by a woman who was clearly having a bad morning. Her attitude was appalling.
A little bit pricey, but the breakfast was ok! I ordered a Woodbridge special that came with chips, but I asked for saute potatoes and got charged an extra 55p! Oh and toast was an extra 10p instead of bread and butter! Total cost £9.55Food: 5/5
Nice traditional cafe with a good choice of breakfast items including sautéed potatoes and properly cooked bacon and eggs. The sandwiches and baguettes are good too and good value.
I haven't had a chance to visit Woodbridge Café in a long time. Never mind, it is still the best café. Certain things never change. Thank you Woodbridge café.Food: 5/5
Ordered scrambled egg on toast and mushrooms. Food came out looking un edible. Scrambled eggs were undercooked and slimy and had a funny taste. Mushrooms were slimy and horrible. After trying a bit of eggs and mushrooms I sent food back has I couldn’t eat it it was terrible, I wasn’t offered a refund or a replacement, since old owners have left the place has gone downhill, it’s over priced slop! Will never go there again! Alex’s cafe is 100 times better, terrible customer service,
Ordered from Deliveroo twice and the food is amazing! So reasonably priced and food always comes hot and well packaged! Love that they wrap it up in cling film or tin foil if you order baguette/panini and if order breakfast they put beans in pot to keep rest from going soggy! My new favourite cafe sure!xx Only thing I would add is it does say it included a tea which I have never received which is really disappointing.
Don't go there often but I always have an enjoyable experience when I do. The atmosphere is friendly, there's a broad mix of customers, and the service is always excellent. If you're after a quality English breakfast, with a decent variety of choice, and a good cup of tea then look no further. It can get very busy, Sunday mornings in particular finding a free table is pot luck, but it's popularity speaks for itself.
Went there for the first time since lockdown. It seems it's changed hands, and not for the better. Sausages were absolutely awful. The speciality of the previous incarnation was their sauteed potatoes and we would specifically go there for them, even though we live 5 miles away.. These are not on the menu any longer. Overall, disappointing and will not be returning, I'm afraid.
Poor quality English breakfast. Sausages taste like bread, and tomatoes are straight from the tin, not fresh and grilled. Bacon and eggs are ok, at least.
This cafe is Total rubbish payed £2.35 for a cup of coffe that wasn't even half filled same with the hot chocolate and the order was 40 mins late
