We called them before dropping in but they were short staffed, however, the staff that were there provided a great service. We went in to look for available cats to adopt, they provided thorough, quick and easy service and all the staff were lovely and look like they really cared about what they were doing. They provided us with all the information we require, background of the cat, medications, etc. Overall, great service. Would highly recommend and visit again in the future. Updated: We sent our little Cashmere there for her shots because its the cheapest and best quality service around! P.S You can follow our kitty on Instagram: @Cashmerethecat_
Very nice and friendly place. Recently we adopted our cat from there. We went through the multiple cat shelters to find the right cat for us but this shelter was the best. They let us interact with the cats so we know their personalities and what they like. Not just staring at them through the glass and judge cats based on their colour and face. Cats have nice units full of climbing trees and toys all of them specifics to their needs. Staff are very friendly and described every cat to us in detail.
We can’t recommend Wood Green Animal Charity enough. We went to the one in London at Wood Green and everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They obviously care enormously for the cats they look after and they were incredibly supportive in setting us up with our lovely new cat and very patiently! answering all of our questions.
I adopted my two cats from the centre in Lordship Lane and was very impressed with the whole place. From the outside it looks very small but they have a big outdoor area where the cats are housed in their individual cabins and have access to the grounds - they have cat flaps and can come and go as they please. It's very clean and the animals are well cared for - they're also neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before they are put up for adoption. Staff are a mix of volunteers and full time people but they are all very friendly and professional and really love the animals. Please support this great charity.
This is a heavenly place. I met some of the people central to WOOD GREEN at a lecture that I delivered at the University of Cambridge on dog rescue in the United States and they impressed me no end: with their empathy, their compassion, their knowledge, their professionalism. They invited me to visit their place the day after my lecture and even though I was very busy during my short stay in Cambridge and England, I went. And what a great decision that turned out to be. The place is immaculately clean, well run, with great facilities. The animals -- from dogs to cats to chickens to rabbits that I saw -- are all taken care of with dedication but also with expertise. This place excels both with the heart and the head. I made a small donation and only wished that it could have been massively bigger. All in all, with people such as the ones running WOOD GREEN, our animals would never suffer! Thank you for being so fine and so good!
Very lovely staff who take great care of the animals and are intelligently concerned for their welfare. Better facilities bigger enclosures, more outdoor space and better organised than the other cat rescue centres I visited. Well-established centre with parking facility for visitors.
I found a stray kitten in the woods and brought her to The Animal Charity in Wood Green the next morning. The kitten was very sweet, and though I would have loved to have kept her myself, this was not possible. Even in a short time I became quite attached to her, so was worried about handing her over. However, the staff at the reception in The Animal Charity made my son and I feel so welcome, and were reassuring and informative. Theresa, Carol and Rachel were absolutely amazing and made this slightly stressful experience easier for me. Thank you!
Adopted a cat today from Bessie. She was fantastic and made the whole experience fun and easy. We love Ruby previously Cecil and really glad we could take a mature cat to her forever home.
We didn't get a cat from here in the end, but I was impressed with the centre and the staff. Really friendly and knowledgeable, cats seem relaxed and have plenty of space and their own outside enclosures. Lovely place.
Animals really well cared for. You can tell the staff care about the animals' welfare and would really like them to find good homes. Regular turnover of cats at the London centre and the website is kept well updated.
