Was in Wolverhampton Custody for 23 hours, so had plenty of time to really take in the suite I was checked into. My stay started with a lengthy wait in the waiting area, this was due to a combination of a person ahead of me being checked in and only 1 receptionist on duty. Once I was checked in there was a friendly welcome into the area, and the staff were more than happy to listen to my opinion. Once I was checked in I was placed into my room with 2 blankets and a thin duvet and plastic wrapped pillow. The heating was on and my room was extremely warm, which was disappointing as it was also very warm outside. I was offered several drinks throughout my stay. The drinks menu has a lot more choice than other locations I have stayed at, including orange squash and blackcurrant squash as an alternative to water. The flooring was sticky and dirty, so I wore my slippers the whole time. I can't comment on the food as despite being offered it, I have only heard poor reviews about the menu so chose to steer against it. And unfortunately I wasn't offered any exercise in the outdoor gym, so I can't provide a review on that either. Overall I rate Wolverhampton Custody 3 stars out of 5, not the best custody suite but definitely better than some.
One star is too much. Unprovoked attack on my 14 year old son, broke his jaw because he looked at them. Kids on motorised bikes who are always in the area. Easy to identify because of the bikes. Police refused to investigate. Asked me what I wanted to do! I had to ask if my son could even make a statement. The officer recognised that it was GBH but said they're understaffed and when it happened to his son he didn't get justice so why should we. You can imagine the affect on my son. He went from top of his class with loads of friends to barely leaving his room. I couldn't protect him so that came between us. He's had to start a life far away with family. I miss him so much The Police should be better regulated so that they have to answer for this behaviour. They're supposed to be upholding the law but able to act according to their own biases which is a contradiction. They are a big part of the reason that Wolverhampton is one of the worst places to live.
Great night stay get a toilet with cctv to see how you do with the bowel movement food is OK get it choice of full English curry ect but mmicrowaved of course as lack of facilities to cater for the elite staff are quite ready to put there hand on you leaving suverneers of your experience with bruising and loss of teeth if your after a crazy experience with psycho staff I do recommend bonus + you get a thin mattress with a small blanket to keep you warm wile the radiators don't work *****
I've only had to deal with these police twice, both on the occasion of assault against a minor, one by a serving officer on a disabled 11 year old.. Inept, patronising, judgmental, prejudiced, violent and overbearing - and neither case was resolved. My grandfather was police - he'd be turning in his grave if he could see the modern copper with his tattoos, trandy haircut and smart mouth. No wonder people don't trust them any more.
A few times people I've known have been attacked and phoned police both times police did nothing seems they choose who to assist. For a long time I felt police fail a lot of people
