Been here a few times for food and drinks. No massive complaints. Its pricey but most places are atm. So lunch out with a friend is a treat and this ticks the boxes. Staff are lovely and helpful. The flatbreads in particular are really tasty. thank you!
Wistow Cafe Bistro catered for my wedding on 23rd July 2022. They were amazing! They were friendly and professional from our first meeting and the food and ingredients were high quality and delicious! We had a 'grazing table' and they made the process very easy by suggesting food that they know works well at weddings. They also breezed into the wedding, worked quickly and efficiently, then disappeared without us hardly noticing! I would highly recommend their food and service to others and would definitely choose them as caterers again should I need them. Thank you all for helping make my wedding day so special!
Great food and nice place to meet. Have been visiting for years, well since it opened. 100% recommend a visit. On this visit we had the fruit pancakes and Bacon & maple syrup pancakes. Sooo fillingFood: 5/5
Have just enjoyed the most delicious festive afternoon tea at this wonderful place with my family. We had both the standard and vegan options of this lovely treat and both were superb! Would highly recommend. Attentive, friendly, helpful staff. Best way to start Christmas! Happy Christmas and many thanks to all the staff at Wistow.
Been here multiple times now. Went for lunch today and was so impressed with the quality of the food. Jacket potato was lovely and the filling cheese and chive mayo was outstanding. Plenty of salad with dressing, good value for the money and left us really full. Loved the seasonal drinks too and the general atmosphere is always pleasant and relaxing. Service was brill, quick and friendly despite it being super busy. I worked in this industry for 7 years so understand how stressful it can be but everyone kept a smile and food serving times were outstanding and quality didn’t waver at all. Never had a bad visit here, super job everyone
Popped in today for breakfast, one of very few places you can just turn up until midday and get breakfast these days. We had a bacon pancake stack and big meat breakfast. Neither disappointed us. Our order came out within minutes of finding a table, in their beautiful green room. The pancakes were delicious and plenty of bacon in-between each pancake. The big breakfast was all cooked to perfection and extremely good value for money. Vegetarian options: Veggi, vegan and gluten free options Parking: Plenty of Free parking Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent wheelchair access ramp into the cafe
This review would of been a 1 star if it wasn't for the beautiful surroundings. The one star rating would of solely been on the pricing of the current menu. Please note, the cost of living, ever increasing energy prices are very apparent to me as a business owner myself, and as a regular cafe / farmshop/ Garden centre cafe visitor, I go to a wide range of places and expect a price increase, and will support that small business. However, I'm sorry to say, I and we as a family, found your prices insulting, Jacket Potato's have always had a huge mark up, even with the price increases I can still go to some very nice places and get a Jacket Potato, for £4.95 with salad and coleslaw, and no surprise, all the other customers are also there eating their Jacket Potato's, it's a sell out. Toast, appreciate £2 for toast and butter, I'd happily pay that. But then, let's add some beans. "Beans on toast £6" this is where it becomes insulting, and where the increased energy price per unit can not be used as an excuse. You don't need a calculator to work out, you're charging £4 for a portion of beans. Tea, £2.50 for a mug of tea. Again insulting. In comparison, other beautiful places offering "pot for 2" £2.25 or another example being loose tea, nicely presented in a cafeteria. It makes all the difference in warranting the price. I reviewed your whole menu, and agreed with some prices, but unfortunately this was outweighed by other prices that I can only describe as insulting. I appreciate you won't like this review, but I believe you'd generate more income / more sales if you revised your prices. I will return, and I will happily change my review accordingly.
Cute cafe but very expensive. I was willing to pay the £8.25 for a jacket potato, ×2 for my boyfriend and I. However, while waiting for him I ordered a coffee added charge for dairy free and was finishing some work on my laptop. Twas then approached by a woman who informed me that I wasn't allowed to plug in my laptop due to the cost of energy... I wouldn't have minded so much if she didn't continue to speak to me as though I knew nothing of the current energy situation. This was a Wednesday lunchtime and the cafe was very busy, I found it hard to believe it was a real "survival" situation and did nothing but encourage us to take our business elsewhere. If you really are turning fridges off to combat the energy increase of 15p to 65p per unit, I would advise a polite notice above your sockets asking not to be used rather than an awkward conversation leaving your customer feeling unwelcome and leaving.
Awful! Rude staff. Customer service was horrible. I was told to leave the premise as my kids dropped crumbs on the table. Having bought coffee and hot chocolate from them, We kept one of the cake box bought from the shop next door by accident next to the coffee mug we were told to leave as to them it looked like we are having food bought from outside on their premises which was disrespectful. The lady confronted us twice in front of everyone which was very embarrassing. I hope they don’t get my review removed as I want to share my personal experience to the other members of public. I was at the ‘Wistow Cafe’ at around 15:10 on 08/10/2022. I even have a receipt to prove just in case this review get taken down as fake. Please consider. Thank you.
Booked for Christmas afternoon tea for 4. Perfect food, presentation gorgeous and each item delicious. Service was great, staff attentive and very pleasant. Thank you for a lovely spread.
