Quite old style building and surrounding. Decent people, cheaper than Liverpool. Good location, and plenty of car parks disabled, too for really cheap hourly rates 50p/hr in the multy storey car park - pyramid. 5 minutes in the tunnel from Liverpool. All the brands here, what you normally need and chains.
One place that stands out - Kevin's cabin and will be missed as the whole Market. Absolutely amazing owner, Kevin and his lovely crew deliver proper meals for the ages and even in these days still for the reasonable prices. Never disappointed! Thank you Kevin :
Used to be a great market,we used to come on bus trips from preston to go here but omg theres hardly anything there it was so cold thought i was at the north pole at one point god knows how the lovely stall holders actually stand it believes there doing it up but wouldn't recommend to anyone to go at the moment wait and see what they actually do to it....very very disappointing
Lovely large market, shame that so many shops were empty. I don't know if that is different at the weekend?
A handful of decent shops and a cafe but not much left here now to make it worth the visit. Hopefully the new market will have a few more interesting stalls
There's a handful of stalls left, there used to be at least 90 market stalls and it attracted coach loads of people from different parts of uk when I was younger! It will never be the same! It's a shame and the other shopping areas are being destroyed.
A bit empty these days Nice butchers and bread shop. It's a pity there's not more stalls in it,use to be very busy, a bit run down now .
Council parking charging has helped kill this town center amenity. Have car will travel out of town to shop and park free, it is not rocket science.
Excellent needed a st patricks day t shirt couldn't get one anywhere the lovely staff at the tshirt printing did it for me while I waited
Great place to get some interesting bargains. Will miss this place when it's gone.
