We’ve stopped here for lunch a few times when we’ve been out on the motorbikes. It’s a fantastic tea room. The staff are welcoming, the food is incredible and the outdoor garden area is really nice. I’d highly recommend it.
Without a shadow of a doubt, the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting! I went for an afternoon tea with my mum and elderly grandmother. We ordered 3 cream teas and waited an abnormally and unnecessarily long time for them to arrive. After enquiring multiple times as to where our food and drinks were, items started to arrive in dribs and drabs despite the waitress stating that food and drinks would arrive together as you would expect from a cream tea. After some confusion among the unapologetic staff, our food finally arrived and we began eating, the food was nice but definitely should not have taken half an hour to prepare and the cafe was not busy. Finally, when we had eaten all the food whilst waiting, and around 45 minutes had passed since ordering, we enquired again as to where our drinks were. The order was not complex, 2 teas and one coffee. This simple enquiry resulted in a waitress shouting at us extremely aggressively and slamming the money for one drink back on our table. This behaviour was entirely unjustified, rude and unacceptable. We finally received the two teas that had clearly been sat there since we ordered them from an unapologetic waitress but were refused the coffee. We had heard other tables complaining amongst themselves about the disorganisation of the staff and I hope they did not receive the same treatment. I will not be visiting tea by the orchard again and would not recommend it to others. The food was fine but the nature of the staff entirely ruined what should’ve been a simple yet nice lunch.
Wonderful little hidden gem I visited yesterday on my charity trip. Great scone and cherry jam. Fantastic.
A lovely little cafe with delicious cream teas. The outdoor seats were difficult to push a wheelchair to over the gravel and grass.
Great place to stop over for a Nice tasty lunch, tea cake . Playground for our son in the yard. Lovely!
Unfortunately tables not wiped between customers so those and floor dirty , food fine but very expensive for amount received , you can see the toilet pan while sitting at eating tables as it opens straight to the cafe with a single door
Stopped off for a hot drink and sausage rolls, if your passing stop and pop in, there's benches and table's outside, with a play area for the little one's. Even if you don't need to, go and visit the toilet, the decor is different and has plenty of reading material. Friendly, warm atmosphere.
This is an excellent place for lunch. Home cooking and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.Friendly welcome. Vegetarian options: Options available Kid-friendliness: Large play park Parking: Ample parking Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy to access.
First visit, popped in for tea and a bacon sandwich, a little more expensive than a greasy spoon, but far better quality. They have an interesting variety of seats and tables, not your usual cafe furniture. Well worth another visit
Nipped in today for a cuppa, didn't expect much and was unprepared for the fabulous range of cakes, cream teas, afternoon teas etc. Service was friendly and the tea was excellent. Come here, you won't be disappointed.
