I was visiting the area with my children taking a walk and notice a local pub called the windmill. The pub was very welcoming clean and fresh on the outside it has a lovely garden with a play area for small children and friendly dogs are wecome too. When I went inside the pub looked very cozy and clean the staff was very friendly and polite when taking my order. Also they do the best burger Ive had in a long time. They have a Pool table and a dart board for extra activity while watching live TV sports. I give it a five star without a doubt. Check it yourself.
This pub is still up and running but new management have no access to this page and information is wrong The menu is no longer running although they do have a new hot bar snack menu

Staff are fantastic, the landlady is insane. It could be one of the best pubs in burgess hill by far, great pool table, lovely staff. I got screamed at for a solid minute by the landlady. Genuinely no idea what happened to her, she reminds me of my ex alcoholic girlfriend who I dropped like corona, can I recommend that the owners of the pub drop her and fast. She had obviously been drinking in there since god knows when and the staff looked sorry when they admitted she was the landlord. Jesus Christ, really what is wrong with her. All our other visits were wonderful because she wasn't there, she is a problem.
Perfect place for a quiet pint. Great if you have kids, there's a big play area in the garden. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a drink outside on a sunny day, or anyone who wants a quiet spot indoors. My favourite local haunt!
Good beer though an odd offer of 5p of a pint with a 4 pint pitcher. Nice garden with chickens and play area
great atmosphere!,live music ,went on a Friday evening,as I don't drink there was lots of choice for non alcoholic drinks,locals as well as bar staff where very friendly,me and my girlfriend had a great time .
One word can sum this place up Excellent. My Dad went to this pub for many years, he passed away a year ago on Sunday 30th June so as a family we went and had a drink to remember him. Staff where fantastic.
